21 years ago I was blessed with the gift of sobriety. I didn’t know it at the time but my life was forever changed by the desperation I had to find another way of life which didn’t include numbing my feelings with alcohol. I’m beyond grateful for those who have crossed my path online and in person and live a life in debt to those who carried me through the ups and downs of life. September is recovery month and I want you all to know 🙏

2️⃣0️⃣ Years Sober today.

When I got sober on 9/08/02 I was really just desperate to stop drinking and feeling the way I was feeling , I had no idea what was ahead would be a beautiful ,full life with hopes and dreams I never could have imagined.

Buuuuut Just because I’m sober , doesn’t mean I’m immune to life’s ups and downs. This last year broke me in ways I never could have imagined. I worked harder in my 12th step program than I had in years and developed a deeper sense of my higher power taking care of me every step of the way. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me , challenged me , and prayed for me along the way.

My only hope in sharing my story is that it sparks something in you to make positive change , wether it’s drinking , eating , unhealthy relationships. There are always solutions to what we struggle with 🙏🙏🙏
