Let’s talk about half syringes and full syringes when it comes to filler:

If it’s your first time getting lip filler and you’re a little on the fence, don’t want anyone to tell you got anything done, and you’re just looking for a subtle hydrated effect, half a syringe (or a Mini Plump) can be perfect for you.

If you’ve had filler before and noticed it’s gradually dissolved, half a syringe may also be appropriate to refresh and bring the volume back as we build on top of the filler up already have.

A full syringe is always recommended if you’re looking for a little more duration and noticeable volume. With a little more freedom of product, we can also customize your treatment more and refine areas of concern.

At the end of the day, your goals matter. But so does our expertise and training as injectors. I share this in hopes of spreading a little more education regarding amounts of filler, syringes, and how the end result is always what matters more. Individual anatomy plays such an important role and filler, botox, etc are all tools to get you where you want.

Just a subtle, almost undetectable chin boost 💉 Let’s get into what goes on during a little chin filler treatment (it’s a lot more complicated than you think).

The goal: Give her side and front profile a more sleek appearance.

We want to avoid at all costs: An overly projected or “witchy” chin that can cause heaviness and disproportion in the lower face. We also want to avoid the chin looking too bulky. Less is always more 👌🏼

The technique: Deep injection on periosteum, tiny boluses only, reassessing and readjusting as needed. Aspiration + slow injections always.

The product: RHA 4 💜

Duration: 12-18 months

Risk level: Moderate. We have to keep the mental and submental arteries in mind.

Good for patients to know: Chin tightness and soreness can last a few days or more due to the tight compartments in the chin. It’s normal for the area to feel very tender. Always educate your patients about what signs to look out for that warrant a reassessment.

The result: Her chin looks slightly more projected and less round, helping to soften up the lower face while also giving more definition. The chin is just one part of a more comprehensive plan to slim and define the lower face so the patient is happy 🩷

We didn’t change her. We didn’t give her a drastic makeover. We did not overfill or go crazy. We kept things conservative, soft, and safe. She still looks like herself because she’s 100% perfect as she is but a little boost in all the right places can do wonders.
