ADHD and CBD / Ma*****na treatment
Ma*****na is proven as an effective treatment for ADHD symptoms.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects around 6–9 percent of children and young adults, and about 5 percent of adults, globally.
A person with ADHD might find it hard to focus on tasks, frequently fidget, show signs of restless behavior, and they may be unable to stay still or quiet at appropriate times.
ADHD can lead to people having relationship problems or difficulties with academic work at school and college despite having normal or superior intellectual abilities.
Treatment for ADHD usually involves doctors prescribing stimulant medications, such as Ritalin or Adderall.
These medications are believed to help correct the levels of a neurotransmitter in the brain called dopamine. However, they may have unpleasant side effects.
To avoid these adverse effects, some people with ADHD use ma*****na as a treatment option. This is because ma*****na is believed to have the same impact on dopamine levels as prescription medications.
Ma*****na is one of the most commonly used recreational drugs in the U.S. and is popular among younger adults. Most people smoke or eat the plant to produce a "high."
In recent years, ma*****na has made news as an alternative treatment for a variety of health conditions, including pain and mental health problems.
Research
A study of 268 separate online discussion threads reported that 25 percent of people said they believed that ma*****na had a positive role to play in ADHD symptom management. The study points out, however, that research proving a connection between ma*****na the management of ADHD is limited.
Some schools of thought suggest that ADHD might stem from a lack of dopamine in the prefrontal cortex region of the brain.
As a neurotransmitter, dopamine is a chemical that transmits signals between nerve cells in the brain. Dopamine is believed to affect thought processes, including memory and attention.
Substances in recreational drugs, such as ma*****na, lead to the production of more dopamine in the reward center of the brain.
The brain's reward center gives an individual a pleasant sensation when they use ma*****na and other drugs. However, this cycle of recreational drug use and increased dopamine can lead to the development of dependence.
Nature journal published a study in 2017 that discusses the dopamine-releasing action of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), an active chemical component in ma*****na, and the source of its pleasure sensation. The researchers advised that THC boosts short-term dopamine levels but may dull the system that releases dopamine long-term.
In the journal Brain, an imaging study by researchers at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom disputed the connection between ADHD and dopamine. They, instead, related ADHD to the structure of the gray matter in the brain.
One trial from 2017 tested a cannabinoid medication on people with ADHD. While the participant number was small and the findings were not statistically significant, the results did show small improvements in ADHD symptoms. The results also suggested that adults who take cannabinoids for ADHD experience the side effects less than children.
A further review of available clinical evidence on ma*****na cited a case that — although not involving ADHD — showed that a child with autistic spectrum disorder had improved hyperactivity levels after receiving a cannabidiol treatment.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of several active compounds found in the cannabis plant.
It’s clear that CBD oil can help ease symptoms of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Although CBD has established benefits for certain mental health conditions, researchers are still trying to understand its effects on behavioral and neurological conditions.
What the research says
Symptom management
A 2013 study on ADHD subtype and CBD use also posed interesting results. After collecting data from 2,811 current cannabis users, researchers found that people who used CBD daily self-reported symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity when not using CBD.
More research is needed to truly understand what benefits CBD may pose in ADHD management.
How CBD works
When you consume CBD oil, the compounds engage with two receptors in your body. These receptors, known as CB1 and CB2, have a direct effect on specific parts of your body.
CB1 is more abundant in the brain and is directly related to epilepsy. CB2 is more abundant in the immune system. It’s connected to pain and inflammation.
The compounds from CBD trigger your body to use more of the cannabinoids it produces naturally. Your body doesn’t actually use any of the compounds found in the oil.
The uptick in naturally-occurring cannabinoid use may lead to a number of benefits, including decreased anxiety and reduced hyperactivity.
Potential advantages over traditional treatments
Traditional ADHD medications fall into two categories: stimulants and non-stimulants.
Stimulant ADHD medication is fast-acting and widely used. In fact, 70 to 80 percent of American children use this type of treatment to address symptoms of the attention disorder.
However, stimulant medications aren’t without side effects. These include:
insomnia
poor appetite
weight loss
headache
dry mouth
mood changes
Although non-stimulant medications are less likely to cause side effects, they’re still possible.
These may include:
upset stomach
poor appetite
weight loss
nausea
headache
dizziness
fatigue
mood changes
Stimulant and non-stimulant medications are prescription-only. You’ll have to see a doctor and undergo regular examinations to continue use.
CBD oil has been shown to be well-tolerated at doses of up to 1500 milligrams per day.
Depending on the dose, it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours before you feel its effects.
The side effects of CBD oil are considered minimal overall. They may include upset stomach and drowsiness.
CBD oil may be available without a prescription in locations where it’s legally available.
How to use CBD oil
CBD oil is typically taken via va**ng or oral ingestion.
Oral CBD is considered less likely to cause side effects, so beginners may want to start here. You can put a few drops of the oil under your tongue, take CBD capsules, or even eat a CBD-infused treat.
Va**ng CBD oil may be beneficial if you need immediate symptom relief. The inhalation process delivers the compounds to your bloodstream much quicker than other methods.

Is CBD effective for mental health challenges?
For decades, the World Health Organization’s expert committee on drug dependence has offered a long list of conditions that CBD may benefit. Research studies on both animals and humans have shown that CBD may help lower feelings of isolation, relieve autism symptoms, and reduce the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It seems CBD can calm the brain and support the hippocampus, which is a brain area important for healthy emotion and memory. One study showed CBD could reduce social anxiety in a way comparable to ipsapirone and diazepam (va**um). A 2012 double-blind, randomized clinical trial looked at the benefits of CBD for psychosis. In this study, 40 volunteer patients were given CBD or an antipsychotic. Both treatments helped patient symptoms equally, while the group taking CBD enjoyed many fewer side effects and no problems with movement, weight gain, or hormonal dysregulation—all common side effects of antipsychotic medications. A version of CBD oil was just studied for its benefits in childhood epilepsy—and will now be released as simply a CBD oil.

About CBD (Cannabidiol)
CBD is the second most prominent compound in cannabis. The cannabis plant contains many different cannabinoids, we have seen over 80 different and it seems there are many more. Most people have heard of a cannabinoid called THC, which is the ingredient in cannabis that gets users high. Unlike THC, CBD (cannabidiol) is non psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a high. CBD has antipsychotic effects which means CBD works completely the opposite way of THC. Numerous studies suggest that CBD also acts to reduce the intoxicating effects of THC.
About CBDa (Cannabidiolic Acid)
The most common naturally occurring forms of CBD and THC are their acid forms, CBDa and THCa. Raw THCa is not psychoactive. It must be heated to form THC in order to become psychoactive. Raw cannabis is an historical component of the human diet. Here at Bud4Buddy, we believe that oils containing CBDa are more effective than those that contain CBD alone.
About THC (Cannabinoid)
Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a chemical secreted by the glands of the ma*****na plant. It is found in high doses around the reproductive organs, as well as in the resin glands of the bud or flower of the female pot plant. Although THC is only one of 400 plus chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, THC is the primary psychoactive ingredient. It takes almost all the credit for creating your cerebral high.
About THCa (Cannabinoid Acid)
Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (conjugate base tetrahydrocannabinolate) is a precursor of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active component of cannabis. THCA is found in variable quantities in fresh, undried cannabis, but is progressively decarboxylated to THC with drying, and especially under intense heating such as when cannabis is smoked or cooked into cannabis edibles. THCA is often the majority constituent in cannabis resin concentrates, such as hashish and hash oil, when prepared from high-THC cannabis plant material, frequently comprising between 50% and 90% by weight.

General information about RICK SIMPSON OIL (RSO)
Rick Simpson Oil vs CBD Oil
The difference between Rick Simpson Oil and CBD Oil is often confused by hype and misinformation. Is it Legal? Is it Safe? Can it cure Cancer? This article will explain exactly what you need to know, the dangers involved in making Rick Simpson Oil, the risks when buying Rick Simpson Oil online and the main differences between Rick Simpson Oil and CBD oil.
Rick Simpson Oil And CBD Oil – Are They The Same?
The name ‘Rick Simpson’ has become synonymous with “Rick Simpson Oil” and the fight against cancer and other chronic diseases using cannabis: Rick’s breakout documentary “Run From The Cure” documented his battle with the authorities and explained how to make and use “Rick Simpson Oil”, for cancer treatments, epilepsy and other medicinal purposes.
Rick Simpson brought Cannabis oil to the mainstream showing the potential of “Rick Simpson Oil” for treating numerous health problems.
Rick Simspon
Controversy surrounds Rick’s story and he has angered many doctors and scientists who consider it all a bunch of anecdotal hype, not backed by any scientific research or clinical trials. Not surprisingly a lot of unscrupulous marketers have jumped on the bandwagon trying to cash in on Rick Sipmson’s fame.
Confusion between Rick Simpson Oil and CBD Oil ?
When researching Cannabis oil some confusion often arises, especially when dealing with RSO or Rick Simpson oil. Since both are derived from the Cannabis plant you may not know the difference between Rick Simpson Oil and CBD oil and think they are one and the same thing.
This article is intended to clear up any confusion so you can distinguish between Rick Simpson oil and CBD Oil. Many sites make misleading and false medical claims so it’s important that you educate yourself.
Due to the legal status of cannabis, officially sanctioned government research is difficult, especially when it comes to getting licenses, permits, and access to quality cannabis for testing purposes. If you read the book “Smoke Signals” by Martin A Lee he explains the deliberate suppression of cannabis medical research and the systematic harassment of doctors, patients and growers even in states where medical ma*****na has been declared legal. Rick Simpson clearly isn’t alone in his persecution by the authorities.
What is Rick Simpson Oil and how is it made?
Rick Simpson oil is a Cannabis oil extract made by soaking cannabis plant material in a solvent such as ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and then evaporating the solvent to leave only the pure cannabis oil behind. Typically this oil is then placed in small syringes and refrigerated for storage and later medicinal use.
Rick Simpson Oil has a higher THC Content than CBD Oil
The most obvious difference between Rick Simpson oil and CBD oil is that Rick Simpson oil has a high THC content since it’s derived from the Ma*****na plant. THC is the psychoactive component in ma*****na that gets you “High”. CBD oil contains Cannabidiol the second most common cannabinoid and is considered non psychoactive. CBD oil is usually derived from industrial h**p plant but can also be made from ma*****na plants and to be considered legal it must have THC concentrations below 0.02% or 0.03%
Is Rick Simpson Oil Legal?
The second main difference between Rick Simpson oil and CBD oil is the fact that it’s illegal in most jurisdictions and that you risk prosecution for possession or production of Rick Simpson Oil, whereas CBD oil has none of these risks.
In most countries Rick Simpson oil is an illegal drug since it contains high levels of THC and patients often turn to producing it themselves. A few states in the USA have legalised ma*****na or created medical ma*****na programs so if you live in these States you can purchase Rick Simpson oil online without fear of any repercussions.
In comparison CBD oil is legal to buy in most countries around the world as long as it contains minimal amounts of THC and is made from the h**p plant.

Both “Rick Simpson Oil” and CBD oils are made from the same plant
Both “Rick Simpson Oil” and CBD oils are made from the same genus of plant namely Cannabis.
Cannabis grows in a variety of strains and varieties with varying amounts of THC and CBD. Rick Simpson Oil is made from Cannabis (Ma*****na) strains containing between 5% – 10% or more THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)
CBD Oil is often derived from Industrial h**p containing only about 0.3% – 1.5% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)
H**p produces fewer and smaller flowers with much lower cannabinoid content, but high amounts of fiber, typically cultivated for industrial use it can also provide a high CBD (Cannabidiol), extremely low THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) content.
“Rick Simpson Oil” is typically made from Cannabis Indica strains for healing physical ailments while Cannabis Sativa strains are often preferred for use in treating those with mental illness.
A Common Misconception: Rick Simpson Oil is for Cancer and CBD Oil is for Epilepsy or Pain
When starting your search for Cannabis information you may find many websites that convey the false idea that it’s just THC that has anti-cancer properties and that only Rick Simpson Oil works for Cancer. This is a common misconception and is driven by a lack of understanding of how Cannabis works within the human Endocannabinoid system.
Everyone wants a simple formula, but the fact is, it’s more complicated than that. Firstly most Rick Simpson oil contains some amount of CBD or Cannabidiol since it’s derived from the cannabis plant. However, you have no way of knowing unless you have precise test results. Furthermore Cannabis contains numerous terpenes and flavonoids and other minor cannabinoids which influences its final effect, this is commonly referred to the Entourage Effect.
Most people who are new to cannabis therapeutics may find it uncomfortable to take THC in the high doses needed to have any effect. It can have certain unpleasant side effects and it takes time to build up a tolerance.
CBD acts together with THC to reduce its psychoactive effects which is why other researchers and patients say that a 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD is best or that the preferred ratio of THC to CBD depends on the type and stage of cancer someone have. Much work is needed to find out what actually works and why.
This is why the difference between Rick Simpson oil and CBD Oil is sometimes confusing. Anyone who tries to give you a simplistic answer clearly doesn’t know what they are talking about or they just want your money.
What is the best THC : CBD ratio for Rick Simpson Oil
The THC:CBD ratio in Rick Simpson oil will depend on the qualities of the particular plant material you use for extraction purposes. The only way you can know for sure the exact ratio of THC to CBD is to do a laboratory test for each batch of oil you make. If you are making Rick Simpson oil at home this is not possible or even practical since it’s expensive and time consuming.
So while “Rick Simpson Oil” from cannabis is referred to as a full spectrum extract, which depending on the strains employed can contain THC and CBD levels as high as 50-60% THC and 10-15% CBD .
A CBD extract from h**p will only be high in CBD and negligible in THC or CBN contents, which are typically so very low that they easily fall under legal thresholds throughout many countries worldwide.
Besides CBD and THC, many other minor cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN in their acid and decarboxylated forms can be found in small amounts in both plants.
Are they giving you false medical advice? Anyone who is making medical claims who is not a doctor or registered health practitioner familiar with cannabis therapeutics should be avoided like the plague. Do your own research.
WARNING : Making Rick Simpson Oil can be Dangerous. There is a real risk of explosion when evaporating the solvent. At Bud4Buddy we have created a helpful video with a safer more refined extraction process so you can make Rick Simpson Oil at home.
Is it all Hype?
Rick Simpson made some very strong medical claims in his documentary, attracting the attention of the Canadian authorities and the world’s medical establishment. Since his claims that his homemade cannabis oil could cure cancer were anecdotal and not backed up by clinical trials or proper documented research some people choose to discard his findings and label it unscientific. But growing evidence points to the fact that there may be some truth some truth in Rick’s claims.
Cannabinoid research by Dr. Manuel Guzman in Spain has shown that THC can reduce the size of tumours in mice. But to date no proper clinical trials have been done on live human subjects. Anyone making the claim that Rick Simpson oil cures cancer should not be trusted since these kind of medical claims are illegal in most countries and go against the FDA regulations.
THC has been used successfully in palliative treatment for cancer to reduce nausea, vomiting and pain and by stimulating appetite during Chemotherapy.
Research into the human endocannabinoid system has shown promising results, but much more research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms involved and how endocannabinoids produced by our body help regulate our whole body-mind system and promote health and well being.
CBD has become the new buzzword
In the past few years CBD has become the new buzzword. CBD is a very important component in cannabis and is one of a hundred displaying a full spectrum of benefits while also being non-psychoactive and legal in many jurisdictions. One of the medicinal benefits of CBD is its antiepileptic properties which were made famous by a young girl named Charlotte who used a high CBD product now known as “Charlotte’s Web” and popularised by the CNN program “WEED” with medical doctor and journalist Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
But Scientists have know for a long time about CBD’s anti epileptic properties. In fact clinical trials were made as far back as 1980 by Dr. Ralph Mechoulam the pioneer of Cannabis research.
And recently GW Pharmaceuticals completed clinical trials showing its Epidiolex drug had “significantly reduced seizures in patients with Dravet syndrome, a type of epilepsy for which there are currently no treatments approved in the US. In the trial of 120 patients, those taking Epidiolex saw a reduction of monthly convulsive seizures of 39% compared with 13% for a placebo”.
Does Rick Simpson Oil Cure Cancer?
Both “Rick Simpson Oil” and CBD have been very visible in the press. Anecdotal evidence from consumers of both “Rick Simpson Oil” and CBD oil have given numerous and often astonishingly positive feedback, however there is also confusion as to what the similarities and differences are between “Rick Simpson Oil” and CBD.
Does Rick Simpson Oil cure cancer ? It’s very hard to say. While this isn’t the answer most people want, it would be wrong to mislead people and give them false hope. Cannabis therapeutics are often turned to as a last resort after going the conventional cancer healing route of chemo, radiation and surgery. The results for someone with stage 4 Cancer may be very different than someone using Rick Simpson oil or CBD Oil as a prevention or early stage treatment.
Just because someone eventually dies who has used Rick Simpson Oil doesn’t mean it didn’t help them on their journey or improved their quality of life compared to mainstream medical treatments.
Medical scientific research is now confirming thousands of years of traditional plant based therapies. Both THC and CBD are showing enormous importance as part of any cannabis based approach to health.
For a real life look at how Rick Simpson Oil has been used in the UK this documentary may be helpful for you.
The main difference between Rick Simpson Oil and CBD Oil are
THC content. Rick Simpson oil has a high THC content which will get you stoned. CBD oil has a low THC content and is not considered psychoactive.
THC : CBD ratio depends on the particular cannabis strain
The plant they derived from: either Ma*****na or Industrial H**p
The method of Extraction: Rick Simpson oil is usually made using a solvent extraction. CBD oil can be made using solvents or Supercritical CO2 extraction.
Safety: homemade Rick Simpson oil is generally not tested for pollutants. Commercially produced CBD oil from reputable manufactures will be lab tested and made under GMP (Good manufacturing practices).
Illegal: Rick Simpson oil is generally illegal in most countries unless you live in a place where cannabis is allowed. CBD oil is generally legal in most countries.
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH RSO
START SLOW AND GET TO KNOW CANNABIS
NOTE: This section may sound like we’re trying to sell you RSO from us. We are NOT. Get it where ever you want to get it. You are welcome to call us and ask questions +1 954 549 6547 or email us: [email protected]
We have patients fly in from all over the world.
You can call us and see if we can deliver RSO to you.
You can find other legal providers of Rick Simpson Oil whereever it is legal.
Ask the percentage of THC.
Ask if they have the test results from a 3rd party laboratory.
Ask how the oil was made (what solvent or method (like CO2 supercritical) was used? (We use it).
How much does the oil cost?
There is a generally accepted price point in the MMJ industry in California. It is 1 milligram of THC for 10 cents. That means 60% THC RSO will be about $60.00 per gram. (60% THC Rick Simpson Oil contains 600 milligrams of THC. 10 cents x 600 = 60).
With that said, you’ll find it at a higher price or a lower price. Be aware of RSO that is priced extremely low. It doesn’t mean it is NOT as strong as they are saying – but that has been our experience.
We ask $50 for RSO tested between 60% THC and 69% THC. $60 for RSO tested in the 70% percentiles. $75 for RSO tested in the 80 percent’s.
Remember, for you to get 900 milligrams a day with RSO that is less than 90% THC, do the math: 60% oil contains 600 milligrams (mg) of THC.
70% oil contains 700 milligrams (mg) of THC. 70% oil contains 800 milligrams (mg) of THC. For example: to get 900 milligrams with 60% RSO, you’ll need to reach a goal of consuming 1.5 grams a day. Does that make sense?
NOTE: Many RSO providers also provide other cannabis products like smoking bud, pipes, bongs, wax, shatter, butter, and a ton of other stuff.
Be aware that they are busy because the demand (for what is really recreational w**d) is many times larger and more profitable than the demand for Rick Simpson Oil (RSO).
Get a strong THC oil and a strong CBD oil and adjust to what works best for you – by taking them separately sometimes – and together at other times. Whatever works for you.
