California based Le Mieux Skincare has been famously known in the esthetics industry for over twenty years. The Korean-born formulator was one of the first ever to base her products in hyaluronic acid rather than water. She was offering “glass skin” cosmetics long before K-Beauty was a thing in this country. The line is focused on maintaining a healthy, hydrated skin barrier. I’ll be integrating these products into my studio as I try them individually myself and discover which ones I love. So far, I’m very impressed with their tinted BB Creams and this serum - it has over 13 botanical oils, squalane, ceramides and a superior form of vitamin E that is better absorbed and extremely high in antioxidants. It’s rich and fatty and goes on quite heavy/oily but then absorbs lightly. I couldn’t get enough of it in dry Las Vegas and found it very healing. $55

P.S - While I get the sentiment behind the marketing term “glass skin” - it isn’t really achievable. You’re a beautiful human being with a living, ever-changing epidermis replete with pores and texture, not a weird AI robot, so please don’t compare your very healthy skin to something dead and inanimate.

Korean sunscreens are just perfection. I LOVE this one from Vivora Revive. It’s an SPF 50+ enriched with fermented ginseng extract - full of antioxidants and probiotics making it anti aging and hydrating. It does not burn your eyes and has a light pleasant scent. It feels like water on your skin, not at all heavy. Ideal for all skin types, but especially useful for those that have a hard time with the feel of typical heavy sunscreens. Great for acne. $28 and in stock at my studio.

Moxie laser update. ✨
I’m showing my left side because that’s where I have had the most pigmentation. I had the Moxie laser just over seven weeks ago and I am so happy with the results! I have had a brown spot from sun damage (most likely from driving) for over 20 years on the left side of my face. I’ve done IPL, countless chemical peels, retinols, hydroquinone and BBL lasers and nothing really made a difference - old sun damage is really hard to clear. After just one Moxi treatment, it’s finally nearly faded away. This the best result I have ever had from a laser! I’ve noticed more refined texture and increased luminosity as well. These treatments are usually done in a series of three, spaced a month to six weeks apart. I highly recommend this treatment, but a laser is only as good as the provider. Cindi has years of experience with lasers and she was perfectly aggressive without causing any damage. I highly recommend her for this treatment. There is a good week of downtime, so prepare for that. I plan on going back in the Fall for two more treatments. The face and neck is $750, $450 for the décolletage - worth every penny!

I’ve offered the Hydradermabrasion Facial for a little over three years and while I have tried to love it, I just don’t.
I have been upfront with my clients, telling them they are nice for a temporary glow and hydration, but that I feel they are highly overrated. In general, I don’t like creating suction on the skin, even if it’s very gentle. It’s unnecessary and can cause broken capillaries and lingering redness. We don’t need to create suction to clean and exfoliate the skin. I only want to offer what I love and truly believe in so I am ending this service. If you enjoyed the Hydraderm or the Dermaplane + Hydraderm Facials, then I recommend that you book the Nano-needling or Dermaplane + Nano-needling Facial at the same price point instead. With Nano-Needling, your skin is pressed and plumped to circulate fresh blood, stimulate healing and collagen production, and serums are infused deeper for better product absorption and hydration. There is no breaking the skin with Nano so it is a comfortable, painless service. The oxygen infusion is always included in this facial as well.
