Iv been seeing a lot of ppl on fb looking for Russian manicures. I want to caution clients about this service as it can potentially and more often than not put your health at risk.
NC sanitation and safety rules become important with Russian manicures because many versions of the service involve:
aggressive e-file cuticle work
cutting live tissue
opening the skin around the nail fold
That can cross into unsafe or prohibited practice if it damages living skin tissue or creates infection risk. The Board strongly emphasizes infection control and safe tool use.
Nail technicians are not allowed to pull out ingrown toe nails that puncture the skin or cut live tissue arround the cuticle area.
At Gypsy Queen Nails our priority is client safty and sanataton! We will not offer the Russian manicure service in our salon.
