Chemical exfoliation 🧪

Acids are THAT girl when it comes to exfoliation. There is a remarkable difference between physical exfoliation and chemical exfoliation. Physical scrubs can be useful for certain types of congestion (non inflamed acne), especially when combined with certain actives. They can also be irritating for sensitive skin.

But, if you want smoother skin, bacteria control, improvement of wrinkle depth, and overall brightness adjustment - that's where acids come in.

Not ALL acids are meant for every client, but something I discuss with clients during a facial.

I talk to women every day at work. We connect on so many levels, and relate with one another about our changing faces and bodies as we age. We laugh about how unfair it is that men have it SO easy 😏 (but seriously..).

I kindly remind each client that NO one sees you the way YOU do in a mirror. That being said, your feelings about what you see are also always valid.

Right now I'm telling myself - It's OK to be 46 and have resting lines on your face. It's OK to not want to dive into the world of Botox and fillers. It's OK to have freckles and crows feet, texture and visible pores. In a world full of unobtainable filters, it's also okay to live in reality.

You know what else is okay? Deciding you DO want to make little changes that help you feel confident in your body. Right now I'm focusing on healthy skin with the right active ingredients, but who knows how I'll feel in a handful of years from now. 🤷‍♀️

No matter your choices, make them for yourself - and be kind.💋

My clients are so patient with my photo taking. I do it because I love looking back and sharing all the improvements that we've worked so hard for.

I tell everyone that home care is the most important part, and we are here for guidance in what to use. As years go by, we sometimes have to make adjustments to meet your skin where it's at, or to adjust for the season.

I love treating pigmentation. It's something I'm always working on with my own skin as well.

The new kid on the block that has stolen my heart - KrX Mela Pro Cold Peel. This peel doesn't rely on exfoliation, and doesn't contain acids, which means no spice during application! She's a warrior against stubborn pigment and PIH.

We've done 2 applications, paired with either diamond Microdermabrasion, or Nano Fusion.

Nano Infusion + Meso Booster Ampoule Boto RX

Once I upgraded my Nano treatments to include ampoules from Krx Aesthetics®️ , there was an immediate shift in my results.

The above is before and after one facial treatment. We decided on Dermaplane exfoliation, followed by my Nano and it was SO GOOD.

The right products make a difference.

Ingredients and formulations matter. One of my favorite parts of this industry is guidance on what to use at home.

I gave her a multi acid ampoule exfoliant, which helped to resurface and brighten for a more even tone. More often than not, I take someone off of their physical exfoliant, particularly for aging skin, and you can see how it transforms.
