Acts 8:21-22 ESV
You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.

This is the beginning of another month and halfway through another year. Listening to a message this morning on Acts chapter 8 these verses stood out. The context of the chapter refer to Simon who wanted to buy what had been gifted to the disciples. When we have wrong motives we end up straddling the fence. Our thoughts are not for God's good, but for our gain. We have not allowed a total submission of our heart to God to direct us away from the noise of the world. When we are out of alignment we can see shifting. We are either becoming more like God or more like what we are trying to create. Following God requires us to be a part of his word daily and private motives will eventually be seen publicly. If your actions and motives aren't real fruit it will fail because foolishness will never change your heart but it will harden it. What is the solution REPENT and ask God to change our hearts. Ask for a clean heart like David. He had many sins, but repented and pursued God. Let us pray Father show us your way, your truth, let your will be done in our lives as we continue to be a part of your plan. Let us seek you with our whole hearts as we thank you for another month. We pray for conviction that will expose our hearts. Let us be sick of ourselves and choose you and we will say YOU ARE ENOUGH in Jesus name AMEN!!
