Hate me for saying it, but having a doula with you in person isn’t right for everyone. BUT preparing to advocate for yourself and feeling like you had agency over your birth is the highest predictor of birth satisfaction‼️
This is why I love virtual doula sessions. All of the educational and emotional support you need during pregnancy, nothing more.
Do I love in-person labor support? Of course! But it’s not about me. It’s YOUR birth. Make sure that your birth team understands that 🤍

*LOOK CLOSELY* Do you judge your workouts by calories burned??

As an Exercise Physiologist, I rarely have my clients track their workouts by “calories burned.” Look at the difference between my watch and the monitor on this bike! If I were going off the bike, you’d think I burned 821 calories during this workout. In reality, it was probably closer to 472 calories.

The truth is, unless the device is tracking your HR the entire time and takes your height, weight, and fitness levels into account, it can NEVER accurately track the calories you burned.
Instead, try using measurements like distance and time, along with your perceived exertion level to track your workout. Need more help? DM me your questions, and I’ll help you design a better, more precise cardio program 😎💪🏻
