Even in the shadows, fashion is eternal 🩸

Inspired by the world of and the series “What We Do in the Shadows”, I set out to create an original character that could seamlessly exist within that universe.

For this project, I designed and brought to life a vampire fashion designer roommate drawing inspiration from Nadja of Antipaxos and her bold, timeless style. I sculpted and molded custom nose and chin prosthetics to transform my model, crafted her signature vampire teeth, and built a widow’s peak wig to complete the look. From top to bottom, every detail was built to feel authentic to the story while adding my own creative twist!

Missing Piece of the Puzzle…

Inspired by the “Saw” franchise, I created this look set in the world of a serial killer whose signature is cutting puzzle pieces from their victims. In this scenario, the victim’s story begins with an altercation just after stepping out of the bath.

Prosthetics used were sculpted, molded, and ran by me!

Inspired by and , I set out to create a burn look of someone being pulled from a building fire. For this concept, I built a custom hairpiece and applied it onto a bald cap to mimic a partially burned scalp. I was also able to distress the costume for the chest and arm burn to peek through!!

For my creative bald cap final, I was inspired by an alien creature but wanted to add my own twist to it. That’s when I came up with the idea of a mouthless look to truly make it stand out!

I had the incredible opportunity to style hair for the “Fly My Pretties” number this year for ! Grateful to and for trusting me and bringing me into such a magical show—an experience I’ll never forget!!

Cindy Lou Who Fantasy Wig 🎀

My final wig semester at AMUA has officially wrapped! For our last project, we were tasked with creating a “Who wig” inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I wanted to go beyond the expected and design something truly whimsical and bold.

Cindy Lou Who has always been a favorite of mine, and her pink outfit from the film inspired the entire look. I envisioned a wig that captured her playful, magical vibe, and brought it to life!

I hand-tied the first 2.5 inches of the hairline, styled the wig, built the structured hair boxes, crafted the oversized bow, and applied the final look. It took nearly the whole semester of hard work, creativity, and attention to detail, but I’m so proud of how it turned out. Truly the perfect way to end my last wig class!
