1. Pore vacuums can break capillaries in the skin and can cause bleeding to occur as well as over exfoliation 2. A base tan will not prevent your skin from burning. 3. Pore strips can rip off the top layer of your skin and only remove the top layer of debris. 4. Much like pore strips, these peel off masks can rip off the top layer of your skin causing damage. 5. Glitter face masks- just no. This should not require any further explanation 6. Chemical peels are too strong and skin-specific for at home use. They should only be applied by a professional who understands the ingredients as well as your specific skin concerns. 7. Derma rollers damage the skin by creating uneven, angled tears on the skin’s surface. Also if they are not properly sanitized they can spread bacteria throughout the skin cause acne and irritation. 8. Coconut oil is comedogenic, meaning it has a tendency to clog pores. 9. Baking soda is too harsh to use on your face and will more than likely cause irritation due to the fact that your skin’s natural pH is -5.5 while baking soda’s pH is 9. ALSO one that’s not on here, rose water does NOTHING for your skin, it has no benefits for your skin and acts more of a perfume!
