A quick tip in growing blonde hair

Hydration & Strengthening are your 2 best friends.

Hydrating your blonde hair will keep it from getting dry and brittle. It will keep split ends at bay & prevent breakage

Strengthening products will repair & protect your hair from damage. The lightening process alters the PH of your hair & cause swelling of your hair strand. By using a bonding mask & strengthening products this will keep your hair healthy & prepped for your next color visit.

Healthy blonde hair colors better, fades slower, and grows longer. Make today the day you prioritize caring and growing your beautiful blonde locks.

I want you to think of your scalp and hair like a garden.

🪴 Your scalp is the dirt that provides an environment for things to grow, and your hair is the plants that grow there.

🪴If your dirt lacks nutrients and minerals, your plants won’t produce the vegetables they are capable of. This is why it’s important to fertilize your soil.

🪴Think of this as what you are putting in your body: collagen, water intake, and biotin. Collagen promotes hair growing proteins in our bodies and strengthens the skin around your hair follicle, water makes the hair we grow soft and shiny, and biotin strengthens the hair as it grows out.

🪴Just like your garden, you want to prevent any pollution or chemicals from tainting your soil and plants. Your scalp needs the same things. Pollution & product build up can slow down hair growth, and can kill off hair follicles overtime. This is why having a water filter and doing clarifying treatments 2-3x a month is so important.

🪴 Are you hydrating your scalp? If you don’t water your plants, they will dry out and not grow. Same with your hair and scalp. Dry hair & scalps will stunt growth by either slowing the rate of growth or by breaking off on the ends as it gets dry and brittle. It’s important to use a scalp hydrating treatment and a hair serum or oil on your ends for hydration.

Now it’s time to ask yourself, how well are you taking care of your garden (scalp & hair)? Is it giving the crop (growth) that you are looking for? If not, it may be time to ask Farmer Amanda for some help 👩🏼‍🌾

Is your hair getting stuck at a certain length?

Everyones hair grows at least 1/2 and inch a month so if you aren’t seeing growth in your length, this tells me that its breaking off. This can happen all over due to split ends, or in areas due to heat, damage, or tension breakage.

🌿 Split ends could be splitting away at the bottom of your hair, causing it to break off and get thinner at the bottom

🌿 Tension breakage from pony tails can cause fly aways in the middle of your hair, reducing the amount of length/fullness you have.

🌿 Heat damage can actually melt off your hair, causing it to get stuck at a certain point.
This is why I always recommend limiting your buns and ponytail to a few days a week, using a heat protectant up to 450 degrees, and having a sessional haircut! By taking these small steps it will add inches to your hair each year!

Something you may not know about why your color fading

Your water may be too hot in the shower.

Just like skin care, cold water closes & seals your hair strand and warm water opens it and swells it.

If you are using hot water to wash your hair, it can cause your hair to swell and open and your color is literally washing down the drain.

I always recommend washing your hair on a warm or cooler setting, and rinsing your conditioner with cold water. This will seal your hair before air drying or blow drying, and adds shine and softness until your next wash!

3 Reasons why you should wash your hair less if it’s blonde

⭑ Washing more than 2x a week can cause your blonde to fade and dull quicker

⭑ The more you wash it, the more you have to style it. This can increase heat damage which being blonde means you run more of a risk for breakage

⭑ Your hair is more fragile when it is wet, and having processed hair can cause it to snap off quicker in this fragile state.

I always recommend my bungalow babes limit washing to 1-2x a week. This will minimize damage, save you money on products, and keep your blonde fresh and shiny for longer!

Flash back to 2018, I had been in the industry a little over a year. I was taking so many classes and hiring coaches for my business left and right.

In one of those coaching calls extensions came up. They talked about a brand they were affiliated with, and I ran and dropped a couple of thousand on the class. I didn’t watch videos of how these extensions were done, I didn’t research the reviews on the company, I just went all in. Luckily, it was a great starting point.

In 2019 I got my first extension certification. Then I realized, doing extensions were so much more than just the day long class & framed certificate of my certification on the wall. It was a lot of trial and error, learning experience, and hours and hours of practice. Some of my top mistakes when I first started doing extensions were

⭑ Mistake 1: Being so afraid of the hair. I was constantly afraid I was going to f**k it up by coloring it, cutting it, even styling extensions scared me at first. When I started I would just install the hair straight out of the package and hope for the best.

⭑ Mistake 2: Not ordering enough hair, because I didn’t know how much it would take. After years of experience, this is something that comes with multiple reps. You learn by buying to much, to little, and just enough.

⭑ Mistake 3: Thinking one method will fit everyone’s needs & hair types. Not every method will be a good fit for everyone. This is why I’ve created a network of extension artist that I can refer to if I feel like someone isn’t a fit for beaded weft extensions.

⭑ Mistake 4: Not believing in myself. This was my biggest downfall for years. Not believing I was good enough, not believing that I was capable, and comparing myself to so many other people.

My biggest advice to anyone starting this journey is to do research, find in depth education, have a budget to get started, and find a community that supports you. It is a journey to becoming and extension specialist, but after hard work & hours and hours of education it’s completely worth it and I wouldn’t trade all the blood sweat and tears for ANYTHING.

A must have for shiny silky hair 💎

The Oi Liquid Luster Treatment is like a lip gloss for your hair. It adds shine and softness instantly for my babes that are on the go and don’t have the time to wait for your mask to process.

Not only is this treatment super quick, but it is completely weightless on your hair. Its weightless formula leaves your hair 6x shinier & 3.5x silkier after one use! (and yes that was tested world wide)

Extension removals are a breeze with beaded weft extensions 🤟🏽

First I open the beads that are attached to your hair & the weft. Once these are open they can slide easily down your hair, and the row can be removed within seconds.

This is why I prefer my beaded weft method over any extension method on the market. There is no glue, adhesive, or residue when removing the extensions.

Most tape in & keratin bond extensions require a chemical based remover to be applied to the extensions prior to the removal process. This can take 20-30 minutes to break down the glue safely and you still run the risk of ripping out hair if the glue isn’t broken down fully.

When using beads, once they are open they are ready to be slid out!

No damage and a quick removal is what my bungalow babes love about this method.

I am accepting 2 new bungalow babes for extensions in February, if you would like to snag one of these spots click the link in my bio to book your extension consultation today 🫶🏽
