I have never been on a cruise before. One year ago I planned to take my daughter on a Disney Cruise, for Mardi Gras 2022, thinking Corona would be coming to an end. She doesn't know🤫⁠

Here are 3 quick tips to calm that frizz...⁠

🌱 First, swap out your towel for drying your hair with a t-shirt. T-shirts are gentler on the hair and do not absorb as much moisture as towels. Leaving a little moisture and not roughing up your hair can help you avoid static and frizz. ⁠

🌱 Use a leave in conditioner. I recommend Innersense's Sweet Spirit. A leave in conditioner also reduces damage by detangling hair and adds much needed moisture during these dry winter months. ⁠

🌱 Spray a comb with hairspray and then comb trough you hair to reduce those flyaways. ⁠

How has it been 17 years?! 🤯

In 2022, I will be celebrating 17 years of being a hairstylist!

These past 17 years have been the most amazing and rewarding. I am most thankful for all of the incredible people I have had the chance to connect with during their time in my chair! What I didn't realize, when I decided to go to cosmetology school, was how much my world would be expanded by connecting with so many different people throughout my day. People from so many different walks of life.

I have learned so much from all my clients and I am so grateful for it. I truly believe that all the many connections I've made have made me a better person. 🥰

Do you have different types of curls on your head? ➿👩‍🦱➿

If you do, you are completely normal! 😆

I rarely see the exact same curl pattern on one curly head. Being looser around the face and tighter in the back is very common, but so too is the opposite.

Here is a tip if you have curly hair like this sweet client. Her curls are tighter and very cooperative in the back of her head. Around her face, not so much.

After you apply your curl cream, I like Quiet Calm Curl Control by Innersense, grab the uncooperative pieces and give them a twist before you air dry or diffuse.

If they still need a little help, break out the curling iron and don’t use the clamp. Simply take a piece and wrap it around the barrel, away from your face with the barrel pointed down, for a few seconds.

It takes no time at all and will make your curls look more cohesive. 👩🏻‍🦱

Here’s what you need to achieve your style at home!

🌱 Salon quality shampoo and conditioner. Every good artist needs a clean canvas. 🖼 Ensure yours is as strong and healthy as possible 💪 by using a shampoo and conditioner that is actually GOOD for your hair. I love Innersense’s Color Radiance Shampoo and Conditioner. It has the perfect amount of moisture for most hair types, colored or not.

🌱 Heat protectant. Keep your hair healthy when you blow dry, flat iron or use your curling iron. Innersense’s Hair Love Prep Spray provides body, thermal protective and style retention.

🌱 Depending on your hair thickness and texture, a volumizing foam or gel. I like Innersense’s I Create Lift for fine hair and the I Create Volume for thicker, coarser hair.

🌱 To achieve the look in this picture use a 1” to 1 1/2” curling iron. I used a 1” here.

🌱 Finally you need a finishing spray. Either a light hairspray or as I did, a texturizing spray to create that beach vibe. 🏝 I finished this style with a few sprays of I Create Waves scrunched in.
