Canada is taking a major step in animal welfare with Bill S-15, a new law that phases out the captivity of great apes and elephants. The bill bans new ownership and restricts their use in performances, allowing exceptions only for welfare, conservation, or scientific purposes. After passing the Senate, it is progressing through the House of Commons and is set to become the first national ban of its kind. If enacted, it would mark a global milestone in protecting highly intelligent and social animals, encouraging other nations to reconsider how they treat captive wildlife.

After reaching the summit and returning safely to base camp, he got back on his bike and pedaled the entire journey home. His achievement remains one of the boldest demonstrations of endurance, self reliance, and human determination in modern mountaineering history.

A beekeeper named She Ping from Chongqing, China, set a jaw dropping world record by covering himself with more than 1 million bees. To draw the swarm, he placed the queen bee on his face, causing thousands of worker bees to cluster around him until he was completely coated like a living jacket. The dangerous feat required deep knowledge of bee behavior and incredible nerve, as a single disturbance could have triggered mass stings. His extraordinary attempt highlights both the power of the queen’s scent and the extreme risks people take to secure a spot in the record books.

In 2009, Google introduced an eco friendly way to maintain its Mountain View headquarters by hiring 200 goats to graze on the grass instead of using gas powered lawnmowers. The goats, provided by a company called California Grazing, spent about a week trimming vegetation while naturally fertilizing the area. Google said the initiative supported its sustainability goals by reducing noise, pollution, and fire hazards. Employees also enjoyed the calm and unique atmosphere the goats brought to the campus. The company continued using goats for vegetation management in later years.
