Fleur Diamantine is a fragrance that captures the essence of a modern floral scent with traditional roots. It’s a scent that feels both familiar and innovative, with a subtle unisex appeal that makes it versatile.

It is one of the most fresh, dewy jasmine I have ever smelt. Its not indolic or anomalic but very effervescent and delicate. The fragrance is relatively subtle, making it an excellent choice for warmer weather and summertime, when one desires a scent that is present without being overwhelming.

Personal Reflections: The fragrance could be likened to a serene morning in a dew-kissed garden. It evokes memories of springtime gardens, where the air is filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the freshness of green leaves. Rainy day duo - 🌧️🌿

For major part of my early adulthood I have lived in a very green area. My mom was in Indian Army and we lived in army apartments. However, their living accommodations are lush green. They are pseudo forests for enhanced security. There was a bird sanctuary, lakes, golf clubs, abundant parks, stadiums, auditorium, helipads and everything you can imagine in a green getaway self-sufficient island besides being an headquarters for army and stuff. And it bloomed in its peak glory when it rained.

Back then I did not even know the scent that emerged from the dry parched earth when first droplets of monsoon rain hits the earth is called petrichor. I longed for it entire year and wished that someone bottled it, I would buy and enjoy. The peacocks danced and cuckoos cooed, it was a melody and a very soothing and cleansing experience for earth, mind and soul.

I forever hold those years in my heart and somehow translated to words:

Aroma of green, a scent so clean,
Nature’s breath, pure and unseen,
The fragrance of life, freshly unfurled,
A verdant blanket over the world.

So let the rain pour down its grace,

The duo .beauty Chanel N19 and Rain captures those green aquatic petrichor earthy notes and emotions as close as it can realistically get. Its a privilege to have lived that life and hold it close in my current 🌿🌧️

So, I have been brave in experimenting with, stuff, and I am excited to share this mini series where I share my favorite duos for best results or just because.

First one is my absolute game changer. Now, I have dabbled in Tret territory and been burnt, quite literally. So yeah, its not for everyone but there are solutions other than that. Adaplene 0.1% is OTC retinoid which is highly regarded for its treatment in cystic acne and clogged pores in general in modern medicine and other served me in past- 2 decades ago and has come to rescue again. I love formula but you can opt for any that works for you OTC. Start 1-2/week and build up tolerance - VERY IMPORTANT.

Azelaic acid is known for its acne fighting and redness relieving properties too along with some added benefits. I have used it in all formulas and strengths and find Redness Relief to be a great balance of texture and strength.

Now, paired together they are really impactful in fighting cystic acne, keeping pores clear and appear tighter, relieve redness- hello rosacea girlies, and firmer skin over time. I have rotated between the brands but same ingredients layered together with equally good results but my personal preference are these two to always go back and rely on.

✨✨ Fig Fever is like biting into a fig, peel and all. And then a basket of supple ripe fruits like blackcurrant, green apple. Its juicy, delightful and fruity fresh and green. A FB worthy esp for its high quality alcohol free blends. It did not bother me at peak of my allergies so a keeper.

✨✨ Aziyade is seeet, spicy Amber scent that evokes a yearning in a longing heart. The blend of notes listed below plays with the memories and evokes feelings of love and being loved like no other love. This is right up my alley with a rich, beautiful blend.
TOP: pomegranate, crystalized date fruit, almond, orange and dry plum
MIDDLE: Spicy accords of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, Egyptian cumin
BASE: Incense, vanilla, Madagascar vanilla absolute, patchouli, musk and labdanum.

✨✨ Amber Russe is a rich, amber of all ambers, leathery and vodka notes laced timeless scent. Its not my scent palette but I know its a high quality one for it’s connoisseurs.
Top: Vodka and Champagne
Middle: Cinnamon, Russian Leather, Tea, Coriander, Birch and Juniper
Base: Amber, Incense and Musk.

✨✨ Oud N**e is an extremely elegant and sophisticated Rose Oud with fruity/nutty accords in their signature Guerlinade that rules my olfactory territory to capture your mind and thoughts. I am a guerlain stan through and through so I am definitely grabbing a full size soon.

✨✨ Devotion is a very girly candies and orange blossom vanilla scent thats an easy love. I can wear it every day and still be happy. Crisp days, hot days, cold days - an easy reach.

Perfume oils hold a special place in my heart and collection for being versatile, well blended, powerful yet subtle and just being oils. They are stunning by themselves or to layers with other creations to add depth, dimension, personality and strength!

Valentine’s day essentials 💖✨

Whether celebrating alone, with your partner, situationship or questioning your dating choices (just don’t call any ex though - its not worth it), a little makeup is never a bad idea.

Mine will be quiet again home with my family and later on partner. We have a lot to celebrate so hanging out where soon to be 40 yo hangout - in living room.

There is beauty in simplicity. My no-nonsense, just business, focus on my goals and still kick a$$ kind of day fragrance!

I love Gabrielle as it does not distract me with its signature aldehydes like in Chance that makes me swoon(I know many people dont prefer them but I love the Chanel aldehydic note)

I would say its a year around scent but layered with a warm vanilla like lends it a sophisticated warm envelope for cooler temps.

For early meetings or busy workday - its my no brainer when I dont have time (like 5 mins for whole things) and still need to be put together.
