Everything that rushed past me once felt permanent. Even the blur has a direction.

Guard your mind. Your thoughts are not harmless.

It’s unfortunate but it is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️

New York, you were loud, chaotic, magical… and 30 minutes to go three miles in an Uber.

I came for a fashion show during New York Fashion Week and left with sore feet, a full heart, and a deep appreciation for slow mornings back home.

Times Square has billboards taller than buildings, but somehow less color than my quiet Florida sunsets. It’s all neon and noise and ambition stacked on top of itself. And yet… I love it. The energy. The hunger. The way it makes you feel like anything could happen if you just keep walking.

I missed the trees. I missed the slow life. I missed actual birds instead of taxi horns. But I also felt something wake up in me here.

There’s something about standing in a city where so many people chased a dream that reminds you that you’re allowed to chase yours too.

I’ll be back.
Maybe louder. Maybe bolder.
Fashion Week next year?

For now, I’m taking my small-town heart back home tomorrow - feeling grateful, inspired, and just a little bit changed.

Once I found God outside if organized religion
I didn’t stop seeing the world.
I started seeing it clearly.
There was no longer fear or hierarchy.
There was no longer a need
to separate who was “in” and who was “out.”

I saw humanity for what it is
fragile, complicated, aching to be known.
I saw how often fear disguises itself as certainty,
how easily love gets replaced with control,
how quickly we forget that people are not ideas to defend or arguments to win
they are lives unfolding in real time.

In learning who God is,
I learned who people are.
And in learning who people are,
I finally understood the heart of faith
It wasn’t fear-driven obedience,
It was love lived out in the ordinary, uncomfortable, human places.

Love that listens. Love that stays.
Love that refuses to dehumanize,
even when it would be easier to turn away.

I used to think love was optional, something added on after belief. Now I know it’s the point. The measure. The thing everything else bends toward.

And the deeper I go, the clearer this becomes
wherever love is missing, something sacred has been lost and wherever love is present, God is already there.

I think we all need to collectively go outside and touch some grass and then come back with a plan
