One year today 🌻. You was welcomed back home.

Cycle breakers often lose their family after calling out abuse. Dysfunctional families resolve conflict by pretending it didn't happen, and if someone in the family system calls it out, it's often met with denial, minimization, or invalidation. (That’s how ptsd/cptsd is created- lack of support) If you called out toxic family patterns, you had the best intentions...you were trying to communicate with your family and create repair. Even if it didn’t come out classy or civil, what could they expect after your soul being shattered over and over? It’s truly shocking when you realize that they can't or won't acknowledge you. So now I’m building a future on my own, something no one can ever take from me ever again or hold over my head.
