The Condish has arrived. 

Over two years later. Four different labs. More formula iterations than we can even remember... The development setbacks drove us wild.

After taking everything we knew about shampoo and throwing it out the window to create The Wash, which went on to change the rituals of shower takers everywhere, we knew a game-changing conditioning solution had to follow suit.

But we were only going to set foot into the conditioner ring if we felt we could do something different and worthwhile. This is core to Highland’s philosophy with every single product we design.

So, we endeavored to solve a conditioner problem that most people don’t even know exists.

Threading the needle on a product that felt premium in the shower, delivered conditioning that actually lasts, AND was made solely with innovative, clean ingredients… Let’s just say it was a fairly hellish development journey.

One that illuminated why most conditioner formulas are built the way they are... white labeled shower products with a highly marketable active sprinkled in here and there, silicone laden formulas that create the illusion of moisture while leaving buildup behind, that weigh your hair down a little more with every single rinse.

The kind of shortcuts a whole category quietly made peace with, and hoped you’d never look closely enough to notice.
We rounded up the best chemists and hair professionals we could find to flip the script.

More than once, we felt certain it couldn’t be done. That between our strict standards on ingredients and performance, something was going to have to give.

But after hitting more dead ends than we’d like to admit, we finally landed on a formula we’re damn proud to release into the world, and one we’re confident will permanently change the landscape for the better.

We think it belongs in showers everywhere — a shower condition, if you will. So we playfully coined our stuff ‘The Condish’.

Highland turned 5 this week… This is a surreal milestone for our team.

Not so long ago, we were crammed into a tiny kitchen lab and living room office with a vision for better hair days while figuring things out on the fly.
