How Honest is Honest Digital Marketing Strategy?

So if you haven’t heard of the Honest brand as yet, what are you waiting for. Head out to your local store and see what they have to offer.

But first let’s take a look at their digital marketing strategy. Honest have the ability to dominate the instore market with products new mom and current moms love, but they might be lacking in the digital media marketing segments.

First, they are on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and pinterest. But not Tiktok?

Hey, Honest what’s wrong with you guys? What little kid do you have handling your social media that you forgot to create a tiktok?

Let’s make some baby videos or watch a mom do a DIY with some of your products.

OK! Forcing for videos is rude, a little honest and necessity to todays societal lifestyle, but you need to catch with society times.

Let’s grasp at the pros and cons of your current digital marketing strategies and if you don’t mind, yes I will give my opinion, hate or love.

Pros:

Yes, we know your products are plant base, no animal products are how society is living our best life. And I love that you guys put that apart of your marketing strategy on whatever platform you’re working with.

Your company take part in the no animal testing for your products, dermatologist tested, toxicologist audited (never knew that was actually a thing big companies do, hey high five).

This brand has Jessica Alba, one of those good celebrities as the founder and spokesperson.

The brand knows who their target market is, which is mainly moms with kids, who drink wine and enjoy their day. Or millennials as most may say.

The use of influencer marketing companies that are connected with other social media influencers, smart move, pay those self-made celebrities well.

Lastly using mainly social media to market the Honest products as well as creating an ambassador’s program, giving moms and influencers perks and money to market the brand, the brand knows who they need to succeeds and they are using those platforms very well. As well as your email marketing strategies.

Cons:

Well when there is a good there is some bad as well.

Let’s be Honest about Honest, they are expensive, but good quality comes with money needing to be spent right.

The packaging is generic, most would think it looks like the body wash you would find in Dollar Tree, rather than a top retailer. The packaging is likely to not draw attention to the product, since it is so boring. Yes, I said it, simple, boring, but somewhat money saving smart.

Some of Honest claims are not true and it turns out, their brand is not an all-natural brand, some of their products has chemicals, like certain preservatives.
Honest have very poor quality control, due to the outsourcing of the manufacturing.

Lastly, they have several recalls and class action lawsuits.

So, ask yourself, is the Honest Company really an honest company?

My advice:

First broaden your target market reach. Get acquainted with more social media platforms.

Second, improve quality control by either not outsourcing manufacturing or inspect every step of the manufacturing process in the outsourced manufacturer.

Third, definitely change the ingredients in the products to ensure the brands claims are accurate. If your brand claims it is all natural, there are natural preservatives that other brands use that Honest can use as well. Chemical is the way.

Lastly, test your product as much as possible to ensure your claims are correct and once Honest Company does that, there will be no one who can sue them for being HONEST.
