Senegalese-inspired beauty rituals curated to ignite self care and self love. Always clean & natural

Photos from Diambar Beauty's post 06/03/2026

Diambar Beauty has officially closed its doors.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported this journey, believed in the vision, and showed love along the way. This brand was created with deep intention, to make natural products that feel good and do good.

From the beginning, my goal was to source thoughtfully from West Africa, especially my motherland Senegal, and to share pieces of our culture, traditions, and ancestral knowledge through skincare. I made a commitment to work with fair-trade vendors and to pay above-market prices for ingredients, because this mission was always about more than products. It was about impact, economic opportunity, and contributing in a small way to the communities that make this work possible.

Some of you have asked where to find similar products now that Diambar is closed. The truth is, Diambar was unique in how it brought African superfoods and traditional ingredients together in a modern way. I did not reinvent the wheel. I simply honored age-old West African beauty rituals and reimagined them through a contemporary lens. Modern Senegalese beauty, rooted in intention.

To everyone who supported, purchased, shared, or even quietly followed along, thank you. You saw me, you supported the vision, and I am genuinely grateful.

With love and gratitude,
Saouda 🤎🫶🏾

Some of my first memories of beauty started at home. Watching my mom get ready, watching the women around me care for themselves and everyone else at the same time.

This post is for the mothers, aunties, sisters, grandmothers, and every woman who poured love into us through care. The women who taught us that beauty is not only how you look, but how you nurture yourself and the people around you.

“Ku am ndey, am na leer.”
Who has a mother has light.

The air in Dakar always had a specific weight to it..
I have memories of the boys in the neighborhood, moving with a frantic, joyful energy, chasing a worn football across the dusty earth. And always, there were the jelly sandals. Translucent, scuffed, and resilient, clicking against the ground with every strike of the ball. The african sun glazing their skin as light caught on the sweat. That was the rhythm of the afternoon..

When I formulated the body polish and the butter, I wanted to capture the soul of Senegal. I wanted the earthy, grounding scent of kinkeliba to meet the brightness of citrus and the delicate, floral exhale of fleur d’oranger. It was my way of bottling the sun.
As I look back on those memories today, I’m also looking at the very last of what we have. Our journey with these rituals is coming to a close. We have the final Full Ritual Set available, along with a few remaining Body Polishes and Face Oils.
It feels bittersweet to see these last pieces go, but I love the idea of these scents, inspired by those dusty Dakar afternoons—finding a home in your own quiet moments of self-care.

Before the beauty industry coined “clean beauty” — West Africa was already living it.
Kinkeliba. The plant of long life. Cherished for centuries for vitality, wellness and healing. One of the most antioxidant-rich plants on earth.
We built Diambar Beauty around it before anyone was paying attention.
Every product we made carries kinkeliba at its core.
Rooted in Senegal. Made with intention.
We’re closing our doors but kinkeliba deserves to be in your routine before we go.
Our Antioxidant Kinkeliba Body Butter is still available. Last chance.

Senegalese things I find incredibly chic. 🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳

Diambar Beauty was an ode to Senegal. Rituals rooted in West African botanicals meant give you a moment of intentional pause and care. I’m closing the business this summer and this is the last chance to experience the magic of Senegalese kinkeliba.

The baobab doesn’t just grow… it presides. 🌳
Rooted deep, crown stretched wide like it’s holding up the sky, it’s the kind of tree that makes you feel small in the best way.

The baobab is the tree of life and nourishment, a symbol woven into the rhythm of West Africa. From its fruit to its bark, it offers, restores, and sustains. Its presence is both grounding and generous, feeding communities, stories, and traditions that stretch across generations.

More than a striking silhouette, the baobab is a living reservoir of wellness. Its fruit, transformed into a tangy, nutrient-rich powder, has long been used to support vitality and care from the inside out. Its oil, pressed from the seeds, is rich, restorative, and deeply conditioning for the skin.

At Diambar Beauty, we honor this legacy by bringing baobab into our rituals. You’ll find it in our kinkeliba clay mask, where the powder helps revive and purify the skin, and in our face oil, where baobab oil delivers softness, elasticity, and glow.

And beyond skincare, baobab is joy you can taste. In Senegal, it becomes a refreshing drink, bright and slightly tart, or a frozen icee in the summer heat, a moment of sweetness shared and savored.

To protect the baobab is to protect a living source of culture, nourishment, and balance. It reminds us that beauty is not just what we apply, but what we preserve, what we pass on, and what we choose to honor. ✨🌳🫶🏾

I owe you an apology!

For four years, Diambar Beauty has been the first and only brand to make kinkeliba (one of West Africa’s most powerful antioxidant plants ) the hero ingredient in every single product.
Kinkeliba protects your skin against aging, dullness and damage.
Naturally. Deeply. Effectively.

Our Kinkeliba Antioxidant Body Butter is the final batch.
Less than 10 jars left.

Diambar Beauty is closing this summer and when these are gone, they’re gone forever.
Don’t sleep on it. Link in bio. 🌿
