PSA4 COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING

Your voice matters, and your community needs you!

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6pm at 130 Loisaida Avenue for our PSA4 Community Council Meeting.

This is your opportunity to stay informed, share your concerns, learn about what’s happening in our neighborhood, and work together to make the Lower East Side a safer, stronger, and more connected community.

Whether you’re concerned about public safety, quality of life issues, youth programs, senior services, or simply want to be more involved, we encourage you to come out and be part of the conversation.

Real change begins when neighbors come together.

Bring a neighbor, bring a friend, and let’s continue building the community we all deserve.

Join us for an important and meaningful community conversation as District Leader Jacky Wong hosts a special screening of the award-winning documentary “Stranger at the Gate.”

This powerful true story explores how compassion, understanding, and human connection can transform fear into friendship. Following the screening, community members will come together for an open discussion about racism, prejudice, acceptance, and ways we can build stronger relationships across different backgrounds.

PSA 4 Community Council is honored to participate in this important dialogue. We believe that meaningful conversations help create safer, stronger, and more united communities.

This exciting event will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 and promises to be a day filled with culture, history, community, music, and celebration as we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the enduring legacy of freedom.

I hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful weather.

I wanted to share a few photos from a past event that our Vice President of the Community Council Executive Board proudly co-hosted alongside District Leader Jacky Wong.

The purpose of the event was to help strengthen and bridge relationships between the Asian and Latino communities. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our cultures, build unity, and recognize that we share far more similarities than differences.

Needless to say, the cultural event was a great success.

Come attend our upcoming Community Council Meeting and meet Captain Wells along with the police officers who patrol and help keep our neighborhood safe.

This is your opportunity to share your compliments, concerns, and questions directly with those who serve our community.

You’ll also have the chance to meet your local elected officials and/or their representatives.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Detective Harlyn De Los Santos after 20 years of dedicated service.

A Walk-Out Ceremony in his honor will be held at Police Service Area 4 (PSA4) on Thursday, April 30th, beginning at 12pm

We invite you to stop by, show your support, and wish him well as he embarks on this new chapter of retirement.
