In January I made the decision to utilize my van to do a ice cream truck instead of a mobile beauty supply store. I not only had little interest in the beauty supply store, I wanted to start something I could pass to my boys. As time went on I decided to do all types of treats instead. That’s how was born!
After months of planning, endless nights of worrying, moving (again!), a whole lot of money, bugging my family and friends, giving up a thousand times, I passed my inspection!
I’m super excited for this journey and I can’t to see where this new business will take me.

When I do Microlocs Consultations, I complete some “sample locs”. These sample locs allows the client to see the size has well as choose the technique they want their started with.
During my consultation I always give the pros and cons of starting with interlocking, twisting or braiding. If the client can’t decide they then select two for samples.
Which one do you think she went with? Braids or Twists?

It took 7hrs to complete this Microlocs install on my first silver fox of the year.
The beauty of Microlocs is being able to customize the install to every client. For Ms. Darlene I did Braidlocs with a Brick-Lay parting. Using the Brick-Lay method gives the illusion that the hair is fuller than it actually is.
I also went bigger in her problem areas. This is to avoid her hair breaking later on from it being to small.

With Ms.Darlene, I did Braidlocs using the brick-lay method. Using the brick-lay gives the illusion of volume. Over time as her hair locks it will appear then it is because I used this method.
She had two major problem areas and I was able to give her larger Locs in those areas.
