First and foremost thank you to all whom wished me a happy birthday or thought of me on May Day.
I am grateful that at 58 I can stand tall, steadfast in my body, mind and spirit.
My 50’s comes with countless challenges and closing of chapters. I am allowing myself to feel it all, no numbing of feelings, emotions or fears. I have taken every lesson with eyes wide open, still curious, still hunger, still young at heart, still blessed and gifted. Thank you universe, mother nature and all my ancestors for protecting me along this journey of life.

Today, like most black woman I sauntered on a high, lit, glowing, knowing that another black woman broke through the glass, a young girl somewhere saw herself, and the ancestors rejoiced. Congratulations Judge ketanji Brown Jackson.
