Excessive comb out from not combing hair for weeks and not having a hair cut in a year.
The main question on this video was “is this amount of comb out normal?”
Well the answer is not as straightforward.
Every clients situation is different. This particular client had 2 things that caused this: not detangling for weeks and needing a hair cut; so shedding and breakage combined caused a lot of comb out.
While it’s natural to have comb out from natural shedding (hair sheds 50-100 strands per day) or coming out of braids, this much would be considered excessive if there were no other factors.
This is why it’s important to comb thru your hair often and get routine haircuts.
