In memoriam — Ian “Champ” Hoyos 🕊️
We’re deeply saddened by the recent passing of Ian Andres Hoyos, known to many simply as Champ — a beloved barber, entrepreneur, and one of SQUIRE’s first partners in the UK.
Ian built Champs Barbers from the ground up in London’s West End, breaking barriers and bringing something truly original to the community. As a passionate self-taught barber with over 20 years of experience, he believed in his craft fiercely and welcomed clients from all walks of life with warmth and skill.
His shop became more than a place for great haircuts — it was a hub of culture, creativity, and connection, where vintage barbering met his love of boxing and community spirit. 🥊
Ian’s entrepreneurial spirit, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on everyone he met. We’re honored to have had him as part of the SQUIRE family and extend our deepest condolences to his friends, family, and all the lives he touched.
His legacy will continue to inspire barbers around the world. 🤍
