Ayes (I-yes, or eyes, or Ah-yes) it really doesn't matter how you say it because ultimately it sounds like it's referring to you being fit.

Actually, my favorite pronunciation would be more of a southern "I'se fit!" So let me help you make this a reality!

Let's pretend it's a sunny day, and you are contemplating your exercise routine. Now, imagine a wonderfully fun group of individuals meeting uptown to partake in a fantastically fun bootcamp with the one and only Ayesha Jordan. You say you wanna be down?? You say you live uptown or wanna hang uptown? Well, I'll be gosh darnit, let us make it happen!! A 1-hour long small group session with moi!! Happy New Year everybody!!! I know this is the season when everyone is trying to spark off that new fitness regime in prep for the spring/summer. Well, why not take the approach of making fitness a part of your lifestyle, a habit, versus something you do to just get fit or lose weight. And why not use me to help you! So...my friends...you say it's snowing and it's cold outside, and you don't feel like going to the gym....Ahhhh, I feel you. So, have a nice little quickie workout in the comfort of your warm and cozy abode. Even 20 minutes is better than nothing. Put on some happy tunes and get to sweating. Here is a sample 20-24 min something you can do:

Everyone's fave: Squats, but add a calf raise, or if you are advanced a jump squat (just google for examples) Do it for 50 sec.

Then switch to single-leg dead lifts. 50 sec /leg (Great balance exercise and awesome for the glutes and hamstrings)

Repeat Squats and dead-lift cycle 3 times (9min in already)

Next up hey let's get that upper body in it....ahhh push-ups and planks and abs and thangs.

A lot of people can't do push-ups for 50 sec, some can but you can always go to your knees, or take brief pauses if you need to...I'm a fan of military style myself.

After push-ups, we'll keep it simple and do some crunches or bicycles you decide your preference. Again 50 sec. then repeat cycle (3 times total)

Ahh lookie 15min workout so far.

Next, lets do some more core...

Straight arm planks (50 sec)
Back extensions on the floor (50 sec)
Repeat cycle 3 times.

We have reached 21 min. Sooo simple and basic. Functional fitness at it's best!

Take the next few minutes to stretch your major muscle groups, and then you can say you did something which is better than nothing.
