This may be one of the most important photos I will ever post… these pictures were taken 2 mins apart.
The top photo is immediately after a wax. This is how she will wake up everyday and how her god given shape is. She naturally has “thinner” brows and it’s important for her *and all of you to see them AS THEY WILL ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE WITHOUT MAKEUP
The bottom photo is after filling in JUST the tails lightly. It’s crazy how such a small little makeup tweak can COMPLETELY change the “shape” of the brow.
This client has 3 options. She can embrace her natural shape and leave as is everyday. She can wake up everyday and fill them in with brow makeup. She can use a growth serum and try to grown the tail in for a more dramatic effect. ALL OPTIONS ARE GREAT OPTIONS.
I believe Instagram has become such a toxic place for “brow envy” and having intense feeling of imposter syndrome as a brow artist. There are a lot of very talented artists posting pictures of their work and some brow artists filter pictures or fill the brows in after a shaping and post only that photo and can give the illusion that the client will wake up with the brows that way and I’m here to tell you all. It’s just not the case!
