Cassandra has been blonde for as long as I’ve known her, and she was ready for a fun and exciting change.

Palmer wanted a sexy mullet with natural highlights, and traveled all the way from Washington Heights to get it!

We want to wish everyone a happy Pride month and Juneteenth! Two incredible reasons to reflect and rejoice this spring!

Pelo Salon is open! Because of appointments missed due to the shut down your stylist may be booked up but contact us and we will see you as soon as humanly possible.

Dear Pelo Family,
It is almost time! If all goes well, Phase Two will allow us to open in just a few weeks. WooHoo NY! Honestly, I am so proud of how we have made it back to this place. Plus we are making changes for everyone’s safety that will keep Pelo the sweet safe haven she has always been.

Clients and Stylists must wear a mask. We hope you can bring your own but Pelo will provide as long as supplies are available.

Sanitize your hands as soon as you arrive! We will have sanitizer for you and WE will be constantly wiping down surfaces all day and between clients.

All stations are now 6 feet apart for all the reasons.

No Waiting Area- This one hurts. I loved our little couch and tea spot where you could relax because even tho the subway stopped for 10 minutes on the tracks you are somehow early! We will miss it but we have to be safe and follow the rules

One client per stylist- this one also sucks. We love our community. We love friends, family, kids and pets! But until a vaccine is up and running we’ve got to stay vigilant.

Obvious but if you are exposed or feel ill Reschedule!! We will be grateful beyond words and do all we can to accommodate you.

Dear Pelo Family,

I hope you all are safe and healthy during this crazy time. As many of you know Pelo stopped serving a full week before the official state closure of Salon services because we felt that was the safest choice for all. We fully plan to open our doors again when we are allowed and you can count on all safety precautions being in place. We will post that opening here and if you have a stylist they will also keep you informed.
Our hearts are with you during this time and we hope you can all stay safely at home keeping you, your loved ones and neighbors safe.
Good hair will live again! Just think of this as a nice way to condition at home, find out what color your hair really is now and see how long you can grow those bangs!
The struggle is real but we love you and want to see you safe and healthy!
