Dr. Thomas (Tom) Smith is the Chief Nursing Officer of Long-Term Care and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, One Brooklyn Health, Brooklyn, New York.  In this role he is responsible for nursing practice for two long-term care facilities encompassing over 900 beds as well as Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.
 
Tom’s previous leadership roles include Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  From 1996 to 2005 Dr. Smith was Senior Vice President for Nursing at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, the first full-service hospital in Manhattan to receive the Magnet Award for nursing excellence.
 
Tom has served as a Commissioner for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and he is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Nursing and the New York Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Janine Duran Llamzon is one of the youngest nurse executives in the country. In her tenure, she has lead multiple Emergency Service Lines with the highest volumes in the country.
