My name is Elisamuel Martinez Diaz, Psy.D., and I am a Clinical Psychologist, independently licensed in New York ( #024087), Connecticut ( #5348), and Puerto Rico ( #2559). I have been practicing psychotherapy since earning my Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2005 from the Ponce School of Medicine in PR. I have provided psychological evaluations and psychotherapy for hundreds of individuals struggling with a wide range of psychiatric disorders.

My experience includes years of work in my private practice since 2005, in outpatient community mental health settings, and in Nursing Homes in New York, where I provided psychological evaluations and therapy to a diverse population, with a special focus on immigrants and LGBTQ+ clients. Since 2005, I have been in private practice, providing psychological assessments and therapy for adults, children, and adolescents.

I obtained advanced education with the Georgia King’s Immigration Psychological Evaluation Training Center and an Expert Certification in Immigration Psychological Evaluations with PsychEvalCoach Inc. I have conducted psychological evaluations for immigration cases and been a guest lecturer at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus. Over the years, I have also provided numerous workshops, training therapists in the best practices for conducting psychological evaluations and psychotherapy for immigrants and LGBTQ+ clients.
