That is EMOTIONAL ABUSE designed to control, manipulate and isolate you so you don’t leave the salon. They're actually afraid that you CAN, so they try GASLIGHTING you into thinking that you’re inadequate or incapable.
👉🏼 Relationships like this change your brain chemistry over time and you can become conditioned into believing their toxic vitriol. It becomes easier to rationalize and you might tell yourself that you aren’t good enough or smart enough. It’s all bu****it - don’t believe it - just get the hell out of there and prove it to yourself that you CAN. And you WILL! Believe in yourself and nobody can ever take that away from you ❤️❤️❤️
🙄 We've heard hundreds of stories like this & you are not alone🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏾♀️ 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼🙋🏽
💪🏼 Screw them and their narcissistic, sociopathic personalities - You are good enough and smart enough to do whatever it is that YOU want to do!
🌈 You got this & we got you!

From all of us at ManeSpace, we wish our LGBTQIA+ communities in NYC and beyond, a very !!! Have a great time today! Read below for a little history behind our beloved
- The Gilbert Baker Pride Flag: Commissioned by Harvey Milk in 1977 and designed by Gilbert Baker, debuted at the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade in 1978. Inspired by Judy Garland’s “Over The Rainbow”, it was s symbol of inclusion for the Le***an, Gay, Bi-sexual and Trans communities.
- Traditional Gay Pride Flag: This is the most familiar flag. In 1979, the community landed on this six-color version, which was hung from lampposts in San Francisco. Numerous complications over having an odd-number of colors led to turquoise being dropped, at least according to reports.
- Progress Pride Flag: Daniel Quasar, who identifies as q***r and nonbinary, designed this flag. The white, pink, and light blue reflect the colors of the transgender flag, while the brown and black stripes represent people of color and those lost to AIDS. “When the Pride flag was recreated in the last year to include both black/brown stripes as well as the trans stripes included this year, I wanted to see if there could be more emphasis in the design of the flag to give it more meaning,” Quasar explained on his Kickstarter.
Colorways of the Pride Progress Flag:
🌈 RED = Life (passion for life)
🌈 ORANGE = Healing (Celebrating)
🌈 YELLOW = Light (ideas & thoughts)
🌈 GREEN = Nature (growth & prosperity)
🌈 BLUE = Serenity (Calmness)
🌈 PURPLE = Pride (Spiritual)
🌈 BLACK/BROWN = Representing People of color & those lost to AIDS.
🌈 PINK/BLUE/WHITE = Representing Trans, Intersex & gender binary people
HAPPY PRIDE 🏳️🌈

We’re gonna be alright! But really, don’t you feel it, the sense that it really is going to be alright? New York State is slaying it with 56% of us already fully vaxed and up to 65% of us in three weeks. Manhattan alone is at 62% and summer isn’t for another 25 days. I wouldn’t be surprised in NY reaches 75-80% by September and that’s because NY’rs are fu***ng smart, full stop. We’re gonna show the world how NYC rebounds after a pandemic and everyone is gonna want a piece. It’s going to be a great time to have your feet firmly planted and ready for the opportunities that will abound.
STARTING TOMORROW❤️🤟🏽30+ older are eligible for vaccines (whoo hoo) & starting April 6th, 16+ older are eligible in NYC ☀️ Go to vaccinefinder.nyc.gov #2021

😇A police officer paid for a family's Christmas groceries instead of charging two women with shoplifting. WE NEED MORE MATT LIMA’s in this country! STORY In bio❤️ Officers have gotten such a bad wrap (excuse the pun) especially over the last year. Let’s celebrate these officers who are out there doing the “right thing”. Serving and protecting the American people with empathy and respect. Matt Lima, you deserve to be promoted and in charge of leading our men and women in Blue into a new era of policing. You are a true hero in our eyes!
