the inspiration behind BUG: “BUG was a scent i knew i always wanted to make… something fresh & green; but something i hadn’t smelled in a fragrance to wear before… i wanted to introduce a wearable & chic ‘vegetal’ perfume. tomato leaf is one of my mother’s favorite scents (she’s also got quite the green-thumb) but she typically owns tomato leaf scented candles and room sprays; which then led me to the idea of crafting a vegetal perfume. BUG is a play on the common garden bug; the pesky, plant eaters to the bees & butterflies. BUG is a testament to the smell of a bountiful garden… vine-ripe tomatoes, bitter red rhubarb, the smell of crunchy, organic greens… when it all tastes better because it was grown by you… that’s BUG.” -
