So many goodies to try! Thanks, Influenster!
Huzzah! My came! Better late, then never!!
As you may know, The Makeup Show Day 1, was today! It's my special place, and not just because of the massive amounts of makeup, I purchase! The Makeup Show is a pro-only tradeshow, where professional artists can network with one another, while taking workshops and seminars, to better enhance their careers.
I sat in on an amazing seminar given by Keri Blair of Mac, took a class with Orlando Santiago, and got to meet Sarah Lucero of Stila and Lori Taylor of Smashbox Cosmetics! For someone still relatively new to the industry, meeting these amazing and established artists was simply inspiring. And meeting fellow artists, was a wonderful experience, as well! It was great to chat up people that wanted to hear my take on the best foundation for photography, and I loved being able to hear about everyone's work!
All in all, The Makeup Show isn't just about makeup. It's about inspiring and empowering artists. I look forward to next year!

My friend Rachel recently asked, "my make-up never stays . Either I need to stop touching my face or I need a decent primer. Thoughts?" Here's my two cents!
Firstly, STOP touching your face, girl! I mean, we all touch our faces - they're right there, and we really have little choice in the matter. But, try not to do it on a frequent basis. That means no popping pimples, or at-home blackhead removal. Your skin, and the person that kisses you, will thank you!
Secondly, and most importantly, I recommend all women should own a primer. It helps keep your makeup from sliding around, fills in pores and fine lines, color corrects, basically it does everything but cook your dinner. Now, the question is, what kind of primer?? Stay tuned, for the answer! ;)
