This past year I stepped into real estate while still pouring my energy into my salon business 2–3 times a week. It’s been a year of highs and lows, but through it all I’ve learned, I’ve grown. I feel more blessed than ever having my family as my foundation, my biggest support system. My mom, even while battling dementia, continues to show a strength that inspires me every single day. After nurturing my first major deal for over a year, it’s finally coming to a close. And in this moment, I can say with pride that I’ve designed this life for myself—and I owe a heartfelt thank you to me.

Root Volume: What Is It, Who Is It For, and How to Maintain It?

Root volume is a hair treatment that lifts the roots, creating a fuller and more voluminous look. It’s perfect for those with fine hair that quickly loses volume or tends to lay flat against the scalp.

How Does It Work?

A stylist applies a special solution to the roots and uses a specific curling technique to create long-lasting volume. The effect lasts 2 to 4 months. As the root curl grows out, it needs to be straightened by a professional to maintain a natural look.

How to Care for Your Hair After the Procedure?

To keep your volume looking great and your hair healthy, follow these simple rules:

✅ Don’t forget about hydration – apply conditioners and masks not only to the lengths and ends but also to the root curl, avoiding the scalp.
✅ Never go to bed with wet hair. To maintain volume, dry your hair using a brush and blow dryer.
✅ The root curl does not disappear on its own – it must be straightened by a professional after 2 to 4 months.

⚠️ Severe hair loss – the procedure may worsen the condition.
⚠️ Heavily damaged or bleached hair – increases the risk of breakage.
⚠️ Pregnancy and breastfeeding – the solution may contain chemical components that could affect the body.
