graduate 👩‍🎓 stylist I have in the last year added facials to the many many services I offer in my studio in the heart of NoLibs!

I run a mutual aid project where I help primarily LGBT & foster youth in Philadelphia get the resources they deserve to live a happy and healthy life

I decided recently to STOP ACCEPTING TIPS! yup you heard that right, no more tips. In lieu of tips I am asking for donations to the free hair services fund at Metamorphosis Collective instead

Why am I showing you this? So you can get a realistic look at how color fades. I got my hair done in Sept .. the last picture was taken a few days ago 🤯

A few things I do when I go to a stylist to get everything I want

1.Explain I want a color shift that’s still the same level as my natural hair or close.. I know it can be REALLY tempting to want to make a drastic change all the time but if you’re doing that be prepared to pay for the upkeep!

2.I cut my hair when I need to (well most of the time 😭) if you don’t cut your hair regularly it really does impact the way your color processes. I know it can be hard to make that decision but it will help your hair health & the longevity of your color!

3.I use root touch up inbetween touch ups so I only get my hair done every 4-6 months. There is a misconception that stylists always get their hair done (I WISH!) but often times especially during the holidays we don’t have time

Also yes my hair is that damaged I know — I will have the coolest haircut after my move & when the holidays are over I swear 😵
