It still hasn’t hit me.

I worked really hard on my lighting (aka still working) to bring a healthy glow to our faces from the sconces, clean lighting for the hair from above, and a neutral space for pictures in artificial lighting. I’m so happy I can finally do my color some justice when I take pictures after dark 🥹

The world is a hard place to be right now and I think we can all use a little love and sacred space 🫶🏼

I’ve not taken a single picture of anyone’s hair in 4 months. The last couple weeks of summer are always a bit slower, allowing me to take a much needed beat. Only a year ago I thought I was done with New York. I packed up my apartment, with gratitude, and attempted to move back to Canada. I learned very quickly that i couldn’t live without you all and look at me now: I’ve had my best year yet. Work has been so slammed I don’t even have time to take pictures and, when I’m not at work, my personal life is bursting at the seams. I’ve been traveling, making new connections and nurturing the old, living in my favorite neighborhood, and having the flexibility and means to go home as often as I want. I met my love, finally forged an incredible group of friends, and I’m the calmest, healthiest, and most comfortable I’ve ever been. What a dream. Thank you to all of my beautiful clients for allowing me a balanced life, and for your unwavering love, support, understanding, and generosity. All of this is only possible because of you.
