She is a member in good standing of the American Electrology Association (AEA), New York Electrolysis Association (NYEA), and The Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal Specialsts (SCMHR). Arlene continues her education in hair removal and related studies to maintain her Board Certification with the AEA. Due to her efforts, the first 600 hr. Electrology Educational Program was granted its accreditation August 2006 in New York by the American Electrology Association. This educational program is approved for Connecticut and New Jersey students who seek licensing in their states. Arlene is one of the few Internationally Board Certified Electrologists who is also a NYS Licensed Esthetician. As a skin care therapist, she attends postgraduate courses and participates in seminars to stay informed about the latest treatments and ingredients essential to skin care. teaching license from the State University of New York and teaches theory and practice in permanent and temporary hair removal in NYC. She has presented seminars and lectures to skin care students, hair removal students and working professionals and has also been featured as a consultant and advisor for the MAKE-OVERS cable program for the CROSSROADS organization. Her work in cable also includes producing environmental and nature programs for the QPTV "Wildman" Steve Brill series, THE ENQUIRING NATURALIST. Arlene Batz and her co-producer, Evelyn Dean were recognized for their work in television as finalists in the HOMETOWN awards for their production of the educational nature series.
