Most people who say their skin is sensitive are wrong about one word. True sensitivity is a clinical condition — genetic, persistent. Reactive skin is acquired: the barrier disturbed by high-percentage acid serums used daily, cleansers that strip the skin to squeak, physical scrubs that abrade, or simply more actives layered than the skin can use. None of it is bad in isolation. All of it is bad cumulatively. The good news — the second is far more common, and far more reversible.

We formulated Clique for skin that reacts. Ascorbyl Glucoside rather than L-Ascorbic Acid, the form of vitamin C that does not sting. Bakuchiol rather than retinol, the active that does not photosensitize. Mandelic acid as the largest of the three AHAs in our Cleansing Mousse, the gentlest exfoliation a face can ask for. Niacinamide and lipid-rich oils across the line, building the barrier rather than stripping it.
