It’s Friday! Finally! So this concludes my dress week. I’m actually gonna be giving away something this weekend so check out my stories tomorrow! Today I have this oversized sweater on by which I believe their stores are mainly in Spain. But they’re brand is found on different sites on the web. This sweater isn’t really a dress it’s just a super long jumper and I think stores had been selling dress-like sweaters lately I thought it was perfect. The phrase “shop your closet” has been floating around for a while and it’s such a great concept. It allows for more creativity and helps you understand your style in different ways.

So sometimes I’ll see something on the runway and think 🤔 hey I have a similar outfit in my closet. Ive actually scrolled through a whole Zara lookbook and made all these “new” outfits with things I already own. It may never be 💯 exact, but fashion sometimes is a combination of different types of clothing and knowing how to put them together. This outfit is super cozy. My oversized sweater is from , crop bomber from a while back and my skirt is actually from a boutique In Spain that sells French clothing where some were used in movies. Swipe right for my inspo.

So hello Saturday, Were the metallic puffys late 90s or early 2000s? Well bomber jackets, track pants and cropped shirts were definitely a 90s thing. I meant to post this Friday for a cohesive 90s but hello life. I was thinking of Friday funday for a giveaway? Anyone interested in that? Anyways hands down this is my fav coat by . It’s a bomber and two sided. My top was eons ago and my pants were 50% off on ! They have some of the most amazing stuff with the best inventory. Love them! And with their second hand stock, finds are so great. I’m wearing silver hoops because for some reason I felt like silver was more a thing than gold back in the day. I find that gold jewelry and pretty as it is has been all over Insta it made me wonder do people wear silver anymore? So this concluded my 90s week. Hopefully you got some inspo. Peace ✌️

Day 4 of 90s looks. So where did the double buns come from? Maybe or just all that . I’ve had these flair-ish pants for a while and I’m just drawn to the vertical stripes, also vertical stripes make you look taller no? Well the definitely help as well. I remember a girl back in the day wearing vertical striped suspender trousers with a white sleeveless tee and my first thought was why? And then she ended up wearing this outfit numerous times and eventually I said hmm actually I like it. In terms of your wardrobe , when you’re looking for clothes that you know you’ll keep make sure they fit. In my stories I altered the length because otherwise it just would have just been sitting there. Don’t be afraid to return something if it’s not 💯 what you want. Peace out ✌️

I think Spring is trying to come! 🌸We can actually see grass and not snow outside! Anyhoo tell the 90s to come and take their sweater back. This outfit reminds me of Saved By the Bell, maybe more the early years than the later. This sweater was part of a find. If you’re that person that spends more on clothes than they really should then I really recommend rental service. You get 6 new pieces every month and you can mix and match with your own wardrobe and find out more about your style by the things you choose. Choosing them really feels like shopping. It’s super easy to use too. just love them.
But let me talk about my bag. Love this bag by . It’s called the Bar Bag. I thought it was funny because I used to just grab the bag you could easily put on your shoulder, wasn’t too long that it would get in the way of dancing in the club etc and could still hold all those necessary things. Although it won’t prevent those times you get home, almost vomiting in the cab and think didn’t I have a bag? Oh my ... another life eons ago. This bag however holds way more than that and you can still wear it as a crossbody with a beautiful guitar strap or a chain handle! The thing about me, and as much as I would love to have lux bags, first can’t afford it, I’d probably spill coffee on it the first week and last It would probably just sit as a work of art instead of daily functional wear. Love and their bags. They have the best size bags, bum bags, weekend bags and everything in between. If you’re like me and used to have piles on piles of bags which you know you only use like three , then try to find functional bags and maybe later with the money you saved you can buy miss Gucci later. Also it’s okay to say no if someone tries to hand you yet another free canvas bag.

Trendy Tuesday ** silk masks? So I love to watch series of what everyone in New York is wearing and she asks a number of times in different episodes how or if wearing a mask 😷 interrupts or coincides with the way you choose your clothes and how you feel about getting dressed etc. One woman said it provides a sort of anonymity which might make the average person who doesn’t like to be seen to wear even bolder clothing. I totally agree. But what I also love is seeing how people are creative with their masks etc. I mean if guy gotta wear one you might as well make it fashion. If you didn’t know silk was actually one of those fabrics the CDC mentioned as being one of the top non-medical materials for protection. But In any case any mask is better than none. Layers are better than one. This particular mask is actually by who makes pillowcases. It’s made of a 100% mulberry silk on the exterior and cotton on the inner. And I know you probably have accumulated a few masks for rotation and some may not be as great as others but these are great for those who wear glasses because it has an adjustable nose wire and adjustable ear straps to fit well.

Hello Monday and hello 90s. Gonna put together a 90s week of outfits that I already own. You babies out there probably don’t remember but I remember high school outfits. How has the year been going for you? Have you been checking off goals on your list? I have so many but sidetracked but actually have been in more contemplation of where I fit in this Instagram space. It maybe taboo to say this but I wasn’t on my social media for like two some weeks and I got a little clarity of who I want to be and making steps to get there. I’ve always wanted to get up early around the same time pray or meditate, exercise or move my body at the same time daily and really be intentional with what I eat because I know it makes me feel good and stress less. I’ve done it for a little more than a week, and I also cut the coffee out gasp! ( headache central). I’ve also had trouble multitasking and ending up doing nothing, so I stopped kicking myself about it and did one task or two at a time . I’m not an organized person or type A maybe Type D with a little type B. But I always have the intention of making good choices. I don’t beat myself about it actually but I always tend to want to already be at the end result without making the major or minor changes to actually get there. I listened to a podcast recently by who had Rozella Haydee White and the quote “our ordinary life presents extraordinary opportunity” really hit me. This scarcity mentality that we have sometimes has brought us to want what we don’t have more times than not which ultimately leads to the opposite of compassion and not valuing what we already have. We need more love in this world but not nice love but love that truly changes lives ✌️

I know most are lounging in sweats nowadays including myself due to comfortability and ease of wear, but back in the day track pants were definitely a thing. I mean they’re still a thing, I just remember them being a more acceptable type of sporty wear to go outside in. We wont’t go into the velvet Juicy track suits because who knows, they may come back. When I imagine luxe I definitely think of higher end brands that collaborate with the likes of Nike, Reebok, Adidas etc. Just par example Beyonce and Ivy Park. I used to and still do, scour outlets for Stella McCartney for her Adidas collab pieces. Why you say?, because I still own all those pieces and I still wear those pieces because the QUALITY is definitely on point and worth investing in. I also found what Im wearing today on , and . So you definitely can find gems second hand.
Today I’m wearing by Kerby Jean-Raymond. His brand celebrates black culture and he uses his influence positively to make issues known.

I’m not a makeup girl but I know who is. And I know what wore at the 2009 inauguration. When I first heard of this launch AND it was being sold at Yessss was the answer. What could be more luxe than this and at a pretty price point. Been dabbling in these colors for a few days straight with some finds. Love this palette called prickly pear. Do you remember the brand Champion? Been around for years! Well there seems to be more people sporting them these days. You either remember them as something cool to wear at school or the brand that you didn’t want anyone to see you wearing because they starting selling them at the lower end stores. I was the crowd where I was so proud to wear my champion t-shirts because they were totally in , am I showing my age? Maybe.
