I’m I used to do perms in my sleep. The regular weekly clients would get a fresh perm every 3 months whether they needed it or not.
Perms had to go by the wayside because we started bleaching hair. No way to perm hair covered with bleach, without it having breaking off!
Today I had the pleasure of being able to recreate Ezra’s hair!! First we cut it off. And I mean off! Then we used the tiniest rollers I could get his hair around. I ended up having to cover his hair with perm solution because his hair didn’t want to stay wrapped around the curler.
But I won the battle! It turned out beautiful! Thank you Ezra!!

I love being able to use Fashion Colors and create looks that are a bit out of the box. This color started with a black root that fades into a deep orange and then into a softer yellow. It reminds me of a fire burning or a beautiful sunset.

Having to interrupt the regular scheduling program. My husband, , has landed in the hospital due to a massive toe infection. Because he is diabetic, his feet are extremely susceptible to infection caused as a direct result of the most minute cut. Unfortunately, he cut himself 6 weeks ago. We thought we had it cleared up because it healed over. Turns out that wasn’t the case. There was infection remaining near the bone that has manifested over the last few weeks. It ended up blowing thru the bottom of his big toe. Thank goodness. Because it blew thru his toe, we went to the doctor. The doctor sent him to a specialist immediately. The specialist immediately sent him to the emergency room. He was then scheduled for emergency surgery to remove the toe. They were hoping to save it, but the skin was too far gone. He is still currently in the hospital and will be for another few days. Although he is in good spirits, he is a bit bummed he will no longer be able to wear flip flops. But is eternally grateful that all he lost was the one toe. Amazing how the Lord looks out for us when we don’t even realize he is doing so. Eat at home will resume once he is home and Iam able to get back into routine.

The word balayage actually comes from the French word
"balayer" which means "to sweep". Which if you've ever had a balayage done makes total sense! When we balayage we are sweeping our color brush over the hair to create a gradual, seamless blend! Because of the sweeping motion, it creates a beautiful, natural looking effect.
