Hair On Fire Salon

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our resident grumpy cat, Mr. Kitty has passed away. We believe he passed away some time Wednesday night 12/21 or during the early part of the day Thursday 12/22. Our clients, former staff, and even residents of Port Warwick know how important he was to our salon, and we are so grateful he chose to spend his twilight years rubbing against our legs and meowing very loudly for food.
His little shadow Baby Kitty (or Sammy, as some know him as) had been constantly by his side for the last month of Mr’s life, and we are so thankful that he wasn’t alone.
We want to thank all of our clients and friends who have donated food, bedding, treats, and more throughout his time in HOF’s life. We will continue to take care of Baby, but there is a hole in the heart of Hair On Fire.

Cindy had this lovely client come in who had lightened her own hair herself and was begging for someone to fix it. Her hair was incredibly compromised, so instead of toning and trying to brighten it like she initially wanted, Cindy explained to her that the safest and healthiest option for her hair presently was to fill and then color the hair to even put the color AND the porosity. Her client left with a smile on her face and more importantly, hair on her head.
Sometimes we can’t give you exactly what you want. Sometimes there are other factors that make us say “hey, your hair won’t survive this.” But we always talk to you about WHY and make compromises on color based on the conversation.
Cindy was able to achieve this with SEQ, Faction8 and mist and mask.

Just a heads up, we are still experiencing difficulties regulating the temperature in the salon, but it should be resolved early this week. If you have an appointment with us and would like to keep it, please dress cool. This situation is beyond our control and we’re doing everything we can to keep our clients comfortable while we deal with it. If you would like to reschedule, we understand, but please remember our availability is limited and even though you will be at the top of the cancellation list, this is a very busy time of year for us with school ending soon. We love you guys and remember to dress comfortably for the warm temps!
