Hello everyone! It’s been a while since i’ve posted. Hope everyone is well. Want to share.
If you are NATURAL, and you are using gel to do twists or braid outs, please stop!
Gel can be very drying to natural hair, which is already drying naturally. When the hair becomes too dry, it can cause breakage.
Use a setting lotion and/ or a foam wrap to do twists or braid outs. Then lightly oil after you take them out.

Dreadlocks
If you notice your scalp being dry and itchy, do a scalp treatment after shampooing with a tea tree oil or peppermint oil shampoo .
Use an antiseptic witch hazel or sea breeze.
Massage a good amount into your scalp. Let sit 25 minutes with a plastic cap.
Rinse and follow up with conditioner.
Apply a small amount of tea tree or peppermint oil on your scalp only.
Then dry.
Avoid excessive retwisting between your services. It will weaken the loc and cause breakage.
Retwist and shampoo every 6-8 weeks.
Interlock can be shampooed once a month and retighten every 3 months.

Hope you are maintaining your hair as best as you can during this time.
Make aure you cleanse and condition your hair with a good shampoo and conditioner.
Leave conditioner on 20 minutes to pe*****te hair shaft to ensure deep conditioning.
For dry and itchy scalp, use an antiseptic on scalp for 15 minutes before shampooing hair. Then proceed with shampoo and deep conditioning.
Avoid leaving protective styles in too long.
Keep your ends trimmed, and avoid using excessive heat to ensure healthy hair.

Good morning ❤️ Looking at some back in the day pictures. Wow I been doing hair for 35 years. Always had a love for it. I thank God for giving me the gift and talent for doing hair. I thank God for all the blessings of good clients and opportunities to grow in the hair business.
These pictures when I was a platform artist for a product company and my first photo shoot hairstyle that made it in the hair international style magazine.
Those were the days of doing it all, photo shoots, hair shows, teaching about hair, helping others and etc.
