Our honey pot is showcasing a common concerns to clients if they experience this skin reaction. Ever wondered why your skin looks like this after a fresh brow session? 🧐
While it might look a little unnerving, what you’re seeing is actually a completely normal for some individuals if you thread or wax, a histamine response.
When we wax or thread, we are removing hair directly from the root. This physical action signals your body to release histamines as a natural defense mechanism, which causes the capillaries in the area to dilate. In short: your skin is just doing its job by trying to protect and heal the area that was just treated!
What you need to know:
It’s temporary: This redness usually subsides within a few hours for most people.
Keep it clean: Avoid touching the area with unwashed hands, and skip heavy products or makeup for 24 hours to let your skin breathe.
Cool it down: If you’re feeling sensitive, a cold compress or soothing aloe vera can help calm the skin down quickly.

Why is holding your skin taut during eyebrow threading so crucial? 🧵✨
It’s all about safety, precision, and comfort! By keeping the skin pulled tight, we create a smooth surface for the thread to glide across. This helps to:
🧵Prevent pinching, lacerations, and/or cuts: A taut surface ensures the thread only grabs the unwanted hairs and not the skin, making the process safer for you as the client.
🧵Achieve cleaner lines: Tight skin allows the thread to get closer to the root, giving you that sharp, defined brow look.
