my client came to me with lashes and confidence that had been clipped by a faulty lash curler, but she’s feeling all dolled up again thanks to this classic set!

as pride month comes to an end, I wanted to share some super cute photos from the braid and bun bar set up by our school at OKC’s Pride on the Plaza event!!

i had such a great experience at my first beauty convention; Getting to try different tools and learning new techniques this weekend has been so much fun!
I gained a lot of information that made me look at so many things in a different light, and new perspectives are always beneficial for creativity and progress!!
This weekend has also given me a lot of insight on how I’ll grow my kit with my career and where I need to invest in myself to succeed — some things I feel are very important for me to consider more as I near my graduation date 🤩
I’m so excited to practice these new methods and keep expanding my knowledge ✂️ ❤️

it doesn’t take much to make a difference! this trim with some added long layers to put movement and texture in the hair proves that well ✂️ 💘

I always have so much fun when I get to do a clipper cut!! I love practicing my blending skills with the razor and working on those cleans lines with the trimmers!

This color correction and shadow root was such a fun process! my client came in with a bleached out pink and blue split dye, so it was important for us to keep the integrity of the hair while still making sure we could get their hair back to a solid level. also I loved getting to apply knowledge of the color wheel to the hair in order to cancel out all those unwanted tones, and I love love love this end result!!

Beacon weekend definitely went out with a bang!


After getting to speak with a panel of visionary people, I felt even more secure in knowing that this is the industry I want to stay in!

I was absolutely awestruck at the National American Hairstyling Awards — my first (and definitely not last) red carpet event!

I have been exposed to so much talent, hardwork, knowledge, and motivation this weekend and I couldn’t be more grateful to have had this opportunity.

I can’t wait to keep traveling for more experiences like these!

day 1 of Beacon was a blast!

I got to meet some really cool people today!! It was eye opening to hear stories that I could relate to from such successful people, and it was such a motivator for myself to really start pushing for what I want in my career.

I absolutely loved getting to watch a photoshoot come to life! It was just so cool to watch these artists collaborate and create magic in real time. I’m still in awe over the efficiency of their time and teamwork, and how the end result came together.

I’m so grateful that I get to be a sponge to all of this knowledge and I can’t wait for what I’ll learn on day 2!
