Living my best life…

Got to work…had no electricity, but that didn’t stop me!

I wanted to share my second experience while here serving the women in jail, by cutting their hair. Every one of them is unique. Some talk, some share, some have bad hair…
When I serve here, it’s not always at a convenient time for me. I go to the salon after and stand for 7 hours. Then, I remembered that I prayed about 20 years ago and wished I could serve in ministry behind those cell walls and here I am. Blessed. Joyful & grateful to use my talents for God’s glory.
It really didn’t take long for God to bring me into Mabel Bassett as an educator and now, at Cleveland County Jail.
There were two of us and they were letting about 5 women in at a time. One girl hopped into my chair and as I introduced myself and caught her name, she says, I think you cut my hair last time? I replied, oh yeah, I thought you looked familiar. She told me that she loved what l did last time and when given a choice, she chose me, this time. (Touched my ❤️)
At the very end after about 10 haircuts, one of my girls turned towards me and said, I hope you receive a blessing today for doing this for us. I smiled and said, I already am blessed by you all…❤️

My client, Susie is just the cutest! She will be 95 in July and says to me…take a picture of me. She likes before and afters. Brings me such joy❤️
