When your instructor says, “I’ve been watching you do men’s cuts for a while now.. you’re good.. so I’m going to challenge you and I’m not going to give you any instruction on how to do it.” Tonight’s specialty class was on men’s cutting. Which, I decided a while back, is what I want to focus on in this industry. I remember being so terrified doing a fade for the first time on a live model. But with the help and motivation from my awesome instructors, such as Rocky, and a lot of practice, I’ve become really comfortable with it. It’s an amazing feeling when your teacher takes your work to other instructors in the middle of class to show it off! This might seem small to some of you, but being able to pull off a new cut and style for the first time feels so incredible. I can’t wait to begin my career! @ Paul Mitchell the School Charleston

The first two pictures are from March 2018 when I first started doing Ms. Gloria’s hair at Paul Mitchell. I see her every 4-5 weeks for her cut and color! The second two pictures are from this past Thursday. I just love actually seeing progress! From the color, to the cut, to the blowout and style. I’ve come a long way since I first started cosmetology school in July 2017. Can’t take credit for the balayage, however last night I did a root touch up, and a clear PM Shines on the midshaft-ends to add some sleek and smooth shine to those ends and bring back some vibrancy! The end style that she wanted was a little different than what I’m used to, but it allowed me to experiment new ways to do blowouts! @ Paul Mitchell the School Charleston
