This last year has been a whirlwind of crazy ...although I dont have the typical basic symptoms as most peopl with this autoimmune disorder sjogrens is no joke ...it hurts all over most days and my body is in constant flare attack with swelling and lung damage plus the massive weight gain from the steroids and meds that are supposed to suppress this ...I take it one day at a time and stay as positive as I can ...I may never be able to work in the salon again which I have come to cope with this slowly but I'm grateful for all of you that check in and visit me I love you all

Great news ...blood work came back...I hit the jackpot of autoimmune disorders.... so far I'm diagnosed with sajoerns and RA as well as my thyroid is being affected it and causeing lung disease /scaring and hypertension...I may even have lupus I'll know when I go back next month ...for now I have to do another sleep study and go to a pulmonary therapist to help with my breathing and activity ... I will be on steroids antibiotics bp lassix and eventually inhibitors ... for the time being I'm limited exposure to outside becsuse of the sun and limited outings where people are ...so no out to dinners or parties just grocery store when needed ...I am staying positive that I will get back to regular activities in the future ... 🧡

my family has been such a grand of support for me these past few months ... as well as all of you.... tomorrow they will be cleaning out my studio.... a chapter in my life that took 30 years to make .... it will be a super emotional day just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes...I thank you all for being soo kind and thoughtful during this process as i begin my new health journey and healing process.... sunshine prayers and virtual hugs accepted ... visitors welcome if you r covid free or facetime if ya miss me

Soooo ....I am a bit emotional because I was not expecting a diagnosis today ...apparently from all the scans they have done I have significant scar tissue in my lower lungs causing the right side of my heart some issues ...they are pretty sure my diagnosis is pulmonary hypertension and that I did actually have a tia stroke ... I need more bloodwork and a high resolution ct scan and heart function testing to get the full diagnosis ... apparently I have always had this and it has just decided to show its ugliness now ... it is treatable, i may need surgery and i will be on oxygen because of the damage ... as I fight back the tears i am faced with heartbreaking news that I must close the studio for now to focus on healing ...

Well I was hoping for good news ...but my body has other plans... the doctor said I am unfortunately getting worse ...as inactive as I've been i am still unable to breath without o2 I am having swelling issues and weakness which is affecting my blood pressure and my body is just drained and aches all the time ... they are raising my o2 to an even higher liter and I'm on bp meds now also I cant drive at this time because of the seizure ... I have pulmonary and neurological appointments next week and a sleep study... I have epic decisions I have to make about work and the studio... its tearing my soul and breaking my heart that i may have to face retirement because of my health ...I love you all soooo much and missing and thinking of all of you ...I will keep everyone posted as I know more 💜thank you all for the thoughts and prayers

Update ... Well I was hoping I could give you all better news ...My health is way too fragile to work at this time🥺 because my severe swelling pain in my legs and my stats still dropping even with o2 causing me to be weak with any activity... I now have a group of doctors thru UMC medical scheduling a battery of tests from sleep apnea to my lungs heart and more blood panels in the next couple weeks ...I'm not sure of an exact date of return to the studio at this time it could be a few weeks or even longer so if you cant wait I will completely understand if you have your hair done before I return... I can do haircuts at home if you are super desperate or if you want to just visit because ya miss me I'm here 💜 thank you all for the sweet messages and checking up on me ...I get foggy brain of who all I talk with but I'm thinking of all of you too ... as I know more I will keep you all posted

Going to have a new fashion accessory longer than I thought ....I m still in the hospital...my heart is strong and good but my o2 levels are really bad....they are thinking the pneumonia I had caused the damage and I've just been compensating all this time ....So with all that and the swelling i will be monitored till I'm released in a the next few days and i will be on home o2 therapy and rest until my levels are up and the dr releases me to work again ... with the new mask ordinance I will be staying home resting up at this time...thank u all for checking up on me 💜 I will keep everyone updated as soon as I can return to work ....

During this time I will unfortunately be out of the studio... I was admitted to the hospital on saturday for medical testing and treatment for an underlying possible hereditary issue ... I do not have covid19 and I'm not sick ... I do not know at this time what my treatment will be or when I will be released but I will keep everyone updated ..thank you all that have already reached out and messaged me and thank you for your patience as well ...

Thank you all for your love and patience during the covid19 shutdown ... but it is time to get back to work ....The the state of Nevada is in Phase1 which means ... Studio10 will reopen on May 9th !!! There are a few new regulations where i have to wear a mask as well as suggested the client wears one as well ... our appointment times are to be reduced so i wont be able to do color corrections due to some stipulations in what services we can do ... I have shifted all that started booking and working down the list of everyone that called and messaged when they heard the news too ... i will be contacting more tomorrow to get you all booked and beautified

Here is just 1 of the many solutions to the new regulations and sanitation rules that we have to follow from nvdlr as Studio10 prepares to reopen.... the client and I must wear masks when in the building and during the service... we are being limited to what we can do and the time it takes for each service as well so I will not be able to do any color correction or appointments lasting over 2 hours ...thank you all for being so understanding and helping keep us safe and following these new hopefully temporary guideline as we move forward from this shutdown ...💜😷💜😷💜

I got some exciting news for you all ... this was just released by the Nevada cosmetology board on reopening the Salons and Studios around MAY 15 !!! I can not tell you how much I thank you all for the love and support these last 50 something days. There are new regulations that have been set for our safety and protection that we must follow at this time ... these are the documents if you would like to see the serious side of my job to service you all ...but here are a few new things that have to be done before you can enter Studio10 ... I will need to verify you have not been sick or around anyone who is ill ... I have to take your temp .... I will have hand sanitizer/soap and fresh towel for you to sterilize your hands ... there will be a basket to put your belongings in that is sanitized for every client ... I will be doing haircuts and color and highlights but i have to limit color correction or services lasting over 2 hours ... they also are stating we can not blow dry or put you under the seated dryer at this time (hopefully that changes soon) ... You and I must wear a mask for the entire time you are in the building and for your service (I made masks and will have them on hand for donation/purchase) ... I can only have 1 person in the room with me and I have to sanitize the room for 20 minutes before the next client ... I know these new things sound crazy but I realllly want to follow these new guidelines and protect us all in this process and get back to work making you all beautiful
