When I found out I was pregnant with Jojo, I had one aunt that checked on me ALL the time. I told her about how I was building a "library" for him and how excited I was for those intimate one-on-one bedtime moments. Next thing I know, I‘m receiving packages with pregnancy books and bedtime stories. Those tales became the soundtrack to my pregnancies, echoing through Jojo's nursery and later, the twins'. We read and giggled until they declared themselves "too old" for bedtime stories, as if such a thing could ever happen.

Today, as I glance at those weathered spines on my shelf, I'm reminded of Aunt Marilyn’s thoughtful gestures. During that time, our bond was blossoming, and I regret that life's frenzy pulled me away from nurturing it further. My heart aches for my family, aching for aunts and uncles left with a void after losing two sisters in the blink of three months. For my siblings and cousins, grappling with the absence of another beloved Auntie. For my cousins robbed of their mother.

It's a sad moment to bid farewell to Aunt Marilyn. May she find the tranquility she deserves. The pain is deep, but so are the memories etched in the pages of those bedtime stories and the love she showered upon us. Rest peacefully, Aunt Marilyn. Your legacy lives on in the tales you gifted and the warmth of your love that still lingers in our hearts.

Please continue to pray for my family as we say goodbye to my sisters' mother this Saturday and my aunt next week. Clients scheduled for next week I ask for your understanding during this time if your appointment is affected.
