Some great things to ask your electrologist since we are an unregulated state for Electrolysis. Electrolysis is a skill that must have many hours and education behind it to be proficient at it. It is not a 4 day class or a 20 hour course. You can not be proficient at electrolysis without hundreds of clinical hours and theory to know what you are doing to the tissues and hair cells below the skin. Choosing reputable professionals keeps our career field and professionals in good standing with our community. Skill and education is everything. Some helpful information when booking an appointment:
Book a free consultation. Jaymee will go over the process, the hair cycle, pre/post treatment instructions, what to expect, sterilization procedures that we use, a game plan for your treatment schedule, options if you are sensitive, how hydration, hormones, and some prescriptions can effect hair growth, and then she will answer all of your questions. Once you are completely informed she will then complete a test patch of hair, complete the aftercare, and give you some ice. You can book your next treatment then, or go home and decide if Electrolysis’s is for you!
Once you have committed to electrolysis it is a relief to finally give your hair problems to a confident professional. No more tweezing, threading, waxing, or sugaring. And remember, the hair didn’t come up over night. It is going to take a series of treatments to begin going through all your hair cycles until all of those coarse hairs do not come back! It is the most gratifying process the get your confidence back, hair free!!

If you are board certified and a CPE like myself (Certified Professional Electrologists) then you are required for a certain amount of continuing education hours related to all things Electrologist in our field.
