Note: Essential oils should NOT be injected. This was the method the hospital was comfortable with having the oils in. After the syringes were filled, the needle was removed and they were capped. This allowed them to label the syringes with the oils and treat them like they would a patient’s medications while in the hospital. They could also accurately track the dose and amount of oil used for aromatherapy. They would drop the oils into the diffuser to diffuse for the patient. This method of oil storage was being used temporarily until the patient’s own oils arrived.

How can I help you lock in your Path of $500?

Just as with human topical application, diluting your essential oils to use on pet skin is VERY important!

Because essential oils are potent plant essences, applying them “neat” (undiluted) is generally not recommended. This is where your Fractionated Coconut oil comes in!

You can also reach for your doTERRA Touch rollers that are pre-diluted for topical use. And don’t hesitate to dilute even further… doTERRA essential oils are pure and potent, and a little goes a long way, especially with pets!

Recommended dilution ratios for pets:

• Dogs: one to five drops of essential oil to 100 drops of carrier oil

• Cats: up to two drops of essential oil to 100 drops of carrier oil

Just as in humans, essential oils can soothe skin irritations when applied topically. This is one of the easiest and most effective topical applications for pets. Remember not to apply directly to open wounds and always consult your veterinarian if skin irritations aren’t clearing up or worsening.

Keep in mind that pets can also ingest essential oils that are applied to the skin as they groom themselves. It is important to make sure that the oils used can also be used internally.
