Tuesday morning, as I drove downtown, the streets and sidewalks were still covered in ice. Everything around us was frozen—except this spot.

When I pulled up and saw that the sidewalk in front of our business had been completely shoveled and cleared, it stopped me in my tracks.

To whoever did this: thank you. What may seem like a small act meant so much to me. My husband faithfully opens and closes this store and shows up for his customers no matter the conditions. Seeing this felt like someone was looking out for him.

Your kindness didn’t just help our customers—it helped keep my husband safe. And for that, I am deeply grateful.
